The U80 old lady competes for the Miss Universe Korea title, stunning with her top beauty?

Ms. Choi Soon Hwa (80 years old) is currently the oldest contestant of the Miss Universe Korea 2024 contest. She has broken the age barrier and opened up opportunities for all women who want to conquer the Miss crown.

Choi Soon Hwa is 80 years old and will turn 81 next October. She was born in the middle of World War II.

As a child, Choi dreamed of becoming a model but was unable to achieve it. In 1970, a patient at the hospital where Choi worked encouraged her to pursue her dream. However, Choi Soon Hwa was only able to realize her dream of walking on the runway for the first time at the age of 76. At the age of 80, she decided to register for Miss Universe Korea 2024 to earn a spot in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico later this year. She will be the oldest contestant at Miss Universe if she wins the national pageant.

Ms. Choi Soon Hwa's determination to fulfill her dream is proof of the saying "If not now, then when?". Since 2018, the Miss Universe Organizing Committee has expanded the regulations on contestants, making this contest an equal, diverse, and non-discriminatory beauty "playground". Elena has a charity that helps children and young people in disadvantaged areas. The association studies the nutrition of poor children and provides them with the nutrients they need to grow. In 2018, at the age of 26, Elena became a mother to a baby girl she named Mila Sofía. Elena became the first mother to represent Costa Rica at Miss Universe and the first crowned under the new franchise of the Miss Universe Costa Rica organization.

In 2023, Costa Rica will not send a representative to Miss Universe in El Salvador. In 2022, Costa Rica's representative was beauty Maria Fernanda Rodríguez but did not win any achievements.

In addition, the final night of Miss Universe Spain 2024 named the winner as Michi Jiménez. She won the right to represent Spain at Miss Universe 2024 held in Mexico in October.
