In recent years, a strong movement has exploded in highland communes in Lam Binh district, Tuyen Quang province. The villagers from hard farming have started to change their lives thanks to YouTube videos.
One of the typical stories is Truc Thi Mui and Ha Ton Chai, residents of Khau Cau village, Phuc Yen commune, Lam Binh district. They have created a successful YouTube channel with just a smartphone, the main content is videos of their daily life in the highlands: from catching crabs in streams, going to the forest to picking vegetables, to cooking lunch in makeshift shacks on the hills.
With more than 100,000 followers, the channel "Ha Ton Chai" has brought Mui and his wife a significant source of income, from a few tens of millions of VND per month, surpassing the average income of workers who used to work in industrial parks. In the past, their lives revolved around hard work and limited income, but now, from working as YouTubers, they have been able to build a new, more stable life.
Not only a simple YouTube channel, the videos of Mui and his wife also attract a large number of viewers from abroad. This explains why their income is sky-high. International audiences are always curious about life in the mountainous region of Vietnam, and the vivid footage of nature and people here has fascinated viewers.
To make such videos, Mui and his wife have to put a lot of effort, from coming up with ideas, filming, to video editing. An episode can last more than 40 minutes, but the process takes up to three days. Every scene, even simple movements such as catching crabs or gathering firewood, must be done carefully, not through speakers.
The important thing is that Mui and his wife know how to create impressive scenes, use diverse camera angles and especially always have patience with the editing process. They have learned how to use video editing software, which makes each final product high-quality.
Not only Mui's family, many other families in Lam Binh district have also risen thanks to being YouTubers. People from villages such as Khau Cau, Na Cau, Xuan Lap, and Hong Quang have been taking advantage of the opportunities that the Internet offers to improve their lives. There are people who have bought houses, bought cars, and built a prosperous life from the income from YouTube.
In fact, the profession of a YouTuber is not an easy path. To be successful, YouTubers must constantly create, learn, and persevere. Some people only take a few months to achieve great success, but others take a whole year to start earning a steady income.
The movement to be a YouTuber in Lam Binh district has become a strong trend. People not only consider it a profession to make money but also a part of life. Some families have even started to work together to produce professional videos, with content such as survival in the forest, building a house out of bamboo, bamboo, or living with nature. These YouTube channels not only bring income but also help promote the local image to domestic and foreign tourists.
In particular, many communes such as Xuan Lap, Phuc Yen, and Thuong Lam now have dozens of large and small YouTube channels, with some channels achieving great success, attracting hundreds of thousands of followers and generating income of millions of VND per month.
Although the movement to become a YouTuber has helped change the lives of many families in Lam Binh, there is no shortage of difficulties. Some people still do not achieve success after a long period of effort.
Although there are still many difficulties, the profession of YouTuber in Lam Binh is growing strongly and promises to bring more opportunities to local people. Changing the mindset and applying technology to life has helped poor people in the highlands to build a fuller and more sustainable life.
