In 2003, two songs "Still looking forward to your return" and "Where are you going" brought Lam Vu's name closer to the audience.

"I went from being a backing singer and for the first time owning my own hit song, I was very happy. I went to the disco and heard my songs were constantly being played, well received by a large audience. Those are happy emotions that I still get excited when I think about it," he said.

Quick marriage, quick divorce

In May 2018, singer Lam Vu surprised the whole showbiz when he announced that he would marry his wife Huynh Tien - Miss Vietnam World 2015. On a TV show, the couple was shocked when said the decision to go home together only after a week of getting to know each other. Just a few months after the wedding, the couple welcomed their first baby, Huynh Tien repeatedly revealed sadness and self-pity when taking care of a child alone in the US.

Until the morning of September 14, 2021, Lam Vu confirmed that he and his overseas Vietnamese wife officially separated in February 2020.
