On October 28, Mr. Hoang Tuan, manager of singer Dan Truong, confirmed to Tien Phong that he had filed a petition against a series of singers such as Thai Trinh, Bang Cuong, Duong Edward. The reason he gave was that the singers did not contact him for permission. "On the evening of October 27, Thai Trinh contacted us. We will withdraw your lawsuit against Thai Trinh if you pay attorney's fees. As for Duong Edward and Bang Cuong, so far they have not contacted after the lawsuit post," Hoang Tuan told the media.

Mr. Hoang Tuan shared that only Thai Trinh contacted after the post. "If you sing for free, you have to call for permission. Duong Edward (who covers the songs Unrequited Love, Rain on Love, Love in the Rain associated with singer Dan Truong) previously paid royalties, but has not played for three years. The amount is not too big, each article is only about 2 million / year", Mr. Hoang Tuan added.

By the evening of October 30, Hoang Tuan - HT Productions - also said that he would withdraw the lawsuit of Thai Trinh and Bang Cuong because of "goodwill", and still said that he would sue Duong Edward to the end. Yang also said he would let his lawyers speak out about the matter.

However, it seems that the incident has come to an end when tonight (1/11), manager Hoang Tuan took to a long status to summarize the noise of the past day. In addition, Hoang Tuan said that he would also prepare to withdraw the lawsuit against Duong Edward, officially ending this incident.

February 7, 2018: HT PRODUCTIONS received the copyright of YouTube channel Edward Duong for using Vietnamese lyrics 3 songs Rain On Love, Love In The Rain, Love Unilateral Due to Unauthorised Use. After the agreement, Duong Edward's side agreed on a penalty for using 3 Vietnamese lyrics of the above 3 songs from 2017 (including unauthorized usage fees and Vietnamese lyric fees) to March 2018, an average of VND 7,500,000 / 1 song.

From 30/3/2018: HT PRODUCTIONS and Duong Edward signed an agreement to allow singer Duong Edward to use Vietnamese lyrics for the above 3 songs from 1/4/2018 - 31/3/2020 at a cost of 50% of revenue on YouTube, and no copyright fee.

As of April 2022 (48 months): HT PRODUCTIONS has collected an average of Duong Edward VND 754,940 / 1 article, 1 month including usage money and advertising revenue sharing (in which, from April 2022 only about 383,000 VND / article 1 month)

By August 2022, HT PRODUCTIONS agreed to reduce it to only 230,000 VND/post/month, for Duong Edward. But we require with the new contract to pay lyric copyright of 2 million / 1 year x 3 songs x 3 years from 2020 - 2023 (18,000,000 VND). But Edward Duong's side thought that collecting money to use the above lyrics was not satisfactory, so he stopped using the above 3 lyrics and deleted them on YouTube.

On 15/7/2023, we found out on Duong Edward's YouTube channel that he used the lyrics of the song "Uyen Nuong Ho Diep Dream" so he received the copyright and Duong Edward's side appealed that the product was Duong Edward's, so we were forced to go through Vietnam's Network and have been removed this link by YouTube.

Recently, because singers Thai Trinh and Bang Cuong are very goodwill, as well as paying lawyer's fees (HT Pro does not charge anything), we have withdrawn the lawsuit. In the case of Yang Edward, Brother Tuan also spoke directly to Yang Edward. She was very polite, and courteous.
