Who is Lai Thanh Huong?

Lai Thanh Huong was born and raised in an ordinary family in Hai Phong, with no one active in the arts. During the summer vacation in 9th grade, Huong was allowed by her parents to participate in extra-curricular modeling classes in Hai Phong and continued until she graduated from high school.

After graduating from high school, Lai Thanh Huong registered for the first season of Vietnam Next Top Model, 2010. In this contest, having just set foot in the house, she was eliminated but left a deep impression on Nathan Lee when that's the contest judge because of his honesty, very outspoken.

Returning to Hai Phong, Lai Thanh Huong went to Hanoi to study at university. In the final night of Vietnam Next Top Model, she and the models participating in the contest were invited to return to Ho Chi Minh City.

The first time stepping on the big stage with sparkling lights fascinated 18-year-old girl Lai Thanh Huong. After the show, she was taken by senior Nathan Lee to the event. Lai Thanh Huong was so attracted that she later asked her parents for permission to leave school so that Nam could find his way into showbiz.

"I was a child who was allowed to be independent by my parents since childhood. When I was in kindergarten, I went to school by myself and returned home. In elementary school, I knew how to cook for the whole family. Because I was independent from a young age, my parents were very trust me.

It was my mother who took me to Saigon and rented me a room of about 20 square meters. My mother bought me a motorbike, kitchen tools, daily utensils and then returned to Hai Phong", Lai Thanh Huong said in the program Where Happiness.

But the way to showbiz is not easy, especially when Lai Thanh Huong has no relatives in Saigon, no relationship, no tall or beautiful beauty like many others.

"At that time, I had no direction. There were days when I just sat in a 20 square meter motel room and thought, what do I do, where do I go to look for shows. A lot of negative thoughts appeared and I too. negative actions towards yourself.

After thinking about it, I wondered, why can I live, can survive in this profession and be in the position I am now?" Lai Thanh Huong recalled emotionally.

Luckily, she was introduced to the show by her senior, Nathan Lee, and modeled for the newspaper. With the advantage of being a sociable person, easy to talk to people, Lai Thanh Huong quickly expanded her relationships. Career opportunities have also come to her quite smoothly since then.

Lai Thanh Huong started standing on the professional modeling stage in 2011 and quickly planned to develop herself in this field.

She participated in many contests from supermodels, beauty queens to actors... to gain experience and expand relationships for her long-term plan to open a model training center.

In 2013, Lai Thanh Huong competed in Vietnam Supermodel contest and won the Super Model award. In 2014, she continued to win the most beautiful catwalk contestant at the Elite Model Look contest and entered the top 8 of the I'm an actor contest in 2015.

"I compete to gain experience, relationships and teach my students. It was my investment when I wanted to open a model training center. I confidently say, everything today. Now, I do it all with my own energy and efforts.

The Vietnam Super Model Contest won the Super Model award. Elite Model Look contest won the best catwalk contestant. I aim for those awards and know myself, know people.

I have no illusions about the high prize. I am aware that I am not tall, not beautiful, without someone behind me, without a strong team to support me, so I have to aim for an award that is just right for me to win it.

People often compare me to Lan Khue and Minh Tu. That they took the exam in the same year and now they're in a high position, but I'm still the same. But I am satisfied. If I was as tall as Lan Khue or Minh Tu, if I had a strong team like them, that would be a different story.

I tried my best with a little luck. All my successes and positions have come from my efforts over the past years," said Lai Thanh Huong frankly.

In the last 3 years, Lai Thanh Huong has almost stopped working in showbiz, focusing on teaching and model training more.

Emotional life
