Although Jack 's side affirmed their desire to end the dispute legally as soon as possible, the latest confrontation at the People's Court could not take place as planned due to the absence of Thien An's representatives.
The legal battle between singer Trinh Tran Phuong Tuan (stage name Jack - J97 ) and actress Thien An has once again become the focus of public attention. After a long period of silence, the latest developments on December 19, 2025, show that the case remains at a standstill.
Jack appeared in court, hoping to exercise his "right to fatherhood".
On the afternoon of December 19th, the official fanpage of J97 Promotion Company released an official announcement regarding the progress of the "Paternity Dispute" case. According to the announcement, at 2 PM that same day, Jack, along with his family and legal representatives, appeared at the People's Court of Region 2 – Ho Chi Minh City as summoned.
Jack's side stated that proactively cooperating with authorities demonstrates respect for the law and a desire to fulfill his responsibilities as a father, as he had previously declared. The singer's representative emphasized: "We hope the matter will be resolved properly to limit the spread of misinformation from one side that has been affecting us for many years."
However, the confrontation could not proceed due to the absence of Ms. Tran Nguyen Thien An and her representative. This is not the first time the actress's side has failed to appear in person during meetings related to this lawsuit.
The root cause stems from the "shocking" press conference in July.
This controversy actually escalated in July 2025, when Jack held a media meeting to announce his comeback. Instead of introducing new music, the singer and his mother spent most of the time talking about the "hidden aspects" of his relationship with Thien An.
Here, Jack's mother repeatedly broke down in tears, defending her son and making negative comments about Thien An. For his part, Jack shared that he had fallen into an extreme psychological state, while affirming his desire to acknowledge his child and stating that he would seek legal intervention to clarify his responsibilities for child support and his paternity rights.
A firm reaction from Thien An: Refusal to reconcile.
In contrast to Jack's eagerness, Thien An maintained a firm stance and remained somewhat detached from the social media騒動 (commotion). In her written statement submitted to the court in August 2025, she declared that she disagreed with all of the plaintiff's claims.
Thien An stated firmly: Jack's side must provide sufficient evidence to prove their blood relationship if they wish to pursue the lawsuit. Notably, the actress requested to be absent from the entire legal process, including mediation and trial sessions. She asserted that she was not the party directly involved in the dispute and had no need to negotiate or mediate with Jack's side. She needed to focus on her work and taking care of her daughter (Sol) instead of attending court proceedings.
Currently, while Jack is striving to restore his image and assert his responsibility through legal means, Thien An has chosen to remain silent and request that the court handle the matter through her lawyer. The fact that one side is actively appearing while the other resolutely refuses direct confrontation is causing the case to drag on without a resolution.
Tho Nguyen scolded Jack's biological mother after the press conference, exposing every word.
Thảo Mai14:52:38 16/07/2025On the morning of July 16, singer Jack - J97 and his biological mother, Mrs. Tran Thi Cam Loan, had a press conference in Ho Chi Minh City. Here, Mrs. Loan shared for more than 1 hour about what her family has endured over the past 5 years.
