Talking to VietNamNet, Ms. Pham Dac My Tran - Head of the Press Department of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City confirmed that the program had to be canceled due to insufficient permits.

"The nature of the program is related to the organization of the beauty contest, but the unit has not submitted enough documents. We requested to postpone the press conference and be complied with by the organizer", Ms. Tran said.

The representative of the Department of Information added that Huong Giang had complied as soon as it was notified. Therefore, the Department only reminds and does not apply administrative sanctions.

By the evening of the same day, sharing with the media, the representative of the Organizing Committee said: "Initially, the company had fully carried out all procedures for applying for permission to organize the event according to regulations. However, by noon 23 /2, we received a notice from the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City about having some invalid documents. We complied and proactively canceled to add more documents. The event took place, so the Organizing Committee did not have time to inform the contestants, guests and the media."

Huong Giang started her singing career in 2010 when she signed up to participate in the musical talent selection show " Vietnam Idol", but unfortunately she was eliminated quite early. In 2012, the female artist returned to the program and became the first transgender contestant to reach the semi-finals. In 2013, Huong Giang released her debut album "Mercury" but did not receive much attention from the audience. For about 5 years after that, the female singer continued her singing and entertainment career but could not "turn it on".

It was not until 2018, after being crowned at the Miss International Transgender contest in Thailand, that Huong Giang was more sought after by the media.
