The official dispatch of the Hanoi Drama Theater said that Hong Dang had violated the working regulations of the Hanoi Drama Theater when he had not applied for permission to go abroad for personal work for more than 1.5 months. The theater side said, "When there is a conclusion to verify the information of the responsible agency in accordance with the law, the theater will proceed to consider and handle it in accordance with current regulations."

On August 17, more than 10 days after returning from abroad, the actor wrote a report to the theater. Hong Dang said that he went abroad to visit relatives and take a short trip.
