The Ministry of Public Security has decided to reward 5 individuals who have made positive contributions in providing valuable information, supporting functional forces to catch suspects in the bank robbery case that occurred in Gia Lai.
Accordingly, each individual was awarded 5 million VND as a timely recognition of the sense of responsibility and sense of protecting security and order in the locality. The commended individuals include Mr. H.T.H., Mr. N.V.C. and Mr. T.V.H. (both residing in Gia Lai province); Mr. V.D.T. and Mr. V.V.A. (both residing in Quang Ngai province). These are all people who have actively provided important information, contributing to helping the police force quickly localize, determine the direction of movement and successfully arrest the perpetrators.
According to the Gia Lai Provincial Police, the process of investigating the bank robbery encountered many difficulties. The suspects had been carefully prepared in advance, using many sophisticated tricks to hide the crime. The group of subjects used fake license plates, often changed routes, moved through detour routes, side roads and deserted hilly areas, with few houses to avoid detection by people and surveillance cameras.
In addition, at some important intersections, the security camera system has deteriorated or damaged, unable to store image data, causing great obstacles to tracing. Faced with this situation, the Gia Lai Provincial Police has identified the mobilization of the people's strength as a key factor, thereby launching a movement of the whole people to participate in denouncing crimes, and at the same time committing to reward individuals who provide valuable information.
From mass mobilization activities, the investigating force has received more than 5,000 reports through online channels and hundreds of direct sources from people related to the case. This information, although small, has made an important contribution to helping the police review, screen, and determine the characteristics of the suspect as well as the direction of movement after committing the crime.
Sharing with reporters, Mr. N.V.C., the head of a neighborhood group in Hoi Phu ward, said that when the robbery occurred right in the area, people's psychology was extremely confused and worried. Everyone hopes that the functional forces will soon arrest the subjects to ensure the safety of the area.
Living near the crime scene, Mr. C. actively coordinated closely with the grassroots police and the investigating force, directly reviewed each hostel, captured the list of temporary residents, thereby promptly detecting suspicious expressions and providing information for the investigation. Not only stopping there, he also went to forests and hills with functional forces to look for traces and evidence, and at the same time mobilized people to raise their vigilance and actively denounce crimes when detecting abnormalities.
"During the 18 days of pursuit, people were very concerned, often asking me if I had caught the subjects. Everyone is worried because the incident happened right in the area where they live. When there was information that the suspects were arrested, the people were very excited," Mr. C. shared.
According to Mr. C., the fact that people actively coordinate with functional forces is not only a civic responsibility but also a practical way to protect the peace of the residential area where they live. During the investigation, many people in Hoi Phu ward showed high vigilance, promptly providing valuable information, contributing to helping the case be clarified soon.
Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Son, Deputy Director of the Gia Lai Provincial Police, said that during the 18 days of pursuing the suspects, the Provincial Police mobilized hundreds of officers and soldiers, working continuously, day and night, tracing every single trace. All efforts come from the desire to bring peace to the people, especially for people to have a safe, joyful and happy Tet.
