Actress Hoai An was born in 1974 in Hanoi. She started her acting career in 1995 after attending an acting training course organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Cinema Association.

She said: "Movies are not as popular as before. The strengths are web dramas, game shows, reality TV shows... but these are not my strengths. However, besides my artistic activities, I also do business. So I still try to arrange both business and acting to satisfy my passion.

I only act in 1-2 films a year. I also set many rules for myself, such as not acting in films with less than 50 scenes, not working with film crews that have spoken ill of me... I also choose roles that are within my reach, not too much."

Because she rarely goes to movies, Hoai An focuses on developing her online business. At first, she considered this a side job, to earn extra money in her spare time. However, her income from online sales is better than her income from acting, helping her not to feel financial pressure.

Thanks to that, Hoai An can freely choose the movie and role that is suitable for her to take on and invest in a more complete role.

She frankly confided: "There are people who don't understand and say I'm "picky". For example, because of business, before participating in a film, I agreed with the director about the time and asked for permission to livestream in empty scenes to sell products. Those were pre-agreed arrangements, if possible, I would act in the film because I still had to ensure my life.

Yet many people say that Hoai An is arrogant, favored by the director, and can livestream whenever she wants on set. People also fabricate some stories about me, but whoever loves me will love me, and whoever doesn't, I don't need to say anything.

Business always makes more money than acting. My salary now is the same as when I first started 30 years ago. How can I manage? (laughs).

In the past, actors had to pay for their own costumes and travel expenses, and often had their salaries "negative". So now, I act in films because I love the role or the film crew so much. The main income to support my family comes from business.

In her personal life, the actress born in 1974 has experienced many ups and downs. She was married but the marriage quickly broke down when her son was only 2 years old. Talking about this marriage, Hoai An once confided that her husband was abusive. Even after moving back to her mother's house, her ex-husband still came to quarrel and abuse her.

After the divorce, Hoai An left empty-handed, working all kinds of jobs to raise her son alone, from driving a motorbike taxi, selling shoes to making candy,... to make ends meet.

Recalling that time, the 51-year-old actress told the Women's Health newspaper: "I'm not a strong person, but when things like that happened in my life, what else could I do but try to fight it. Many nights after a performance it rained, I didn't even know if it was rain or my tears mixed together."

After this marriage, Hoai An had a deep love affair for 4 years, the two were preparing to get married when her boyfriend suddenly passed away. "While I was teaching an acting class, my family informed me that he was tired and had to be hospitalized. That evening, when I went to visit him, he was in a coma. Only 4 days later, he passed away," the actress confided about this love story on Zing.

Later, Hoai An fell in love with a Vietnamese American. They were about to get married and move to the US to settle down, but they broke up. That is why Hoai An said that she no longer dreams of finding a life partner.

She talked about this on Vnexpress: "A few years ago, I sometimes thought about it, but now I've "given up on the dream". I find life now more comfortable and freer. Thinking about the life of being bound and responsible to both families, I'm afraid that if there will be another argument, it will be very tiring."

She still lives with her son, who is 26 years old, has a job and a stable income. Although she is not busy taking care of her children, she is busy taking care of her elderly mother. Her health is poor, she has heart disease, bile duct disease, and diabetes for many years, so she always tries to take care of her mother as best as possible.

Sharing about her ex-husband, she said: "On social networks, many places reposted old articles without interviewing me. The other person also has his own family and is living happily. I don't like to bring up old stories, nor do I want old stories to accidentally become scandals. So after many years, I no longer accept interviews or participate in talk shows."

Although life is still full of challenges and she has turned 51, the female artist still maintains her youthful beauty, beautiful appearance, and hot body that is not inferior to a girl in her twenties.
