Duc Phuc excellently won Intervision 2025 Champion, received 9 billion prize

Singer Duc Phuc has just written a brilliant new chapter for Vietnamese music when he was officially crowned Champion at Intervision 2025 , bringing home not only glory but also a prize of more than 9 billion VND.

The event, held on the evening of September 20 in Russia, was the first time Vietnam participated and won the highest position in this international music playground, marking a big step forward in the journey to bring Vietnamese music to the world.

The performance titled "Phu Dong Thien Vuong", composed by musician Ho Hoai Anh, inspired by the poem "Vietnamese Bamboo" by Nguyen Duy and the legend of Saint Giong, conquered the judges with a performance combining traditional music and modern elements such as rap, folk song arrangements and stage images that clearly marked the national identity: conical hats, sedge mats, bamboo, the image of the hero Saint Giong riding an iron horse to fight the enemy.

Duc Phuc performed in 20th place in the final night, and he really shone, surpassing 22 contestants from 23 countries with an overwhelming score of 422 points.

The prize for this victory includes a prestigious crystal trophy and a sum of about 360,000 USD, equivalent to more than 9 billion VND, contributing to proving not only the recognition of talent but also the level of professionalism and serious investment.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism carefully selected Duc Phuc as its representative, based on criteria such as stage experience, ability to convey cultural identity, professional ethics, and the ability to strongly spread internationally. Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong commented that Duc Phuc's victory is not only a personal achievement but also a source of pride, demonstrating the State's systematic support for young artists and the aspiration for Vietnamese music to go further.

Duc Phuc confided that he had prepared very carefully for the competition: choosing a song specifically for the international stage, working on everything from sound, lighting to images and stage effects; hoping that the performance would both retain Vietnamese character and be attractive to a global audience. And the results that night showed that the investment was not only clever but also very effective when the song in Vietnamese, with details imbued with national culture, could still touch the hearts of international listeners.

This victory is of great significance to Vietnamese music: it not only leaves a personal mark on Duc Phuc’s career but also clearly demonstrates that Vietnamese artists can compete on the international stage, when applying cultural identity, creativity and professionalism. It also opens up new opportunities for Vietnam to be better known in international cultural exchange activities, promoting the confidence and aspirations of young artists.
