After a series of mouthful statements of Miss World Vietnam - Huynh Tran Y Nhi showed the current state of "turmoil" of the title of Miss Vietnam in Vietnam, as well as the true weight of the precious crown.
The fuss about pageants has been heating up public opinion for days. Since the introduction of Decree 144 on the performing arts, more regulations have been more open to beauty pageants.
The number of contests bloomed, meeting the legitimate needs of the people. However, many downsides accordingly also arise.
Most recently, the story of Miss World Vietnam - Huynh Tran Y Nhi is making many people talk. As soon as she was crowned, this 21-year-old girl from Binh Dinh made many statements "waves" on social networks.
The backlash from the audience partly reflected expectations for the title of Miss. They sincerely expect the miss to be inspiring, to be beautiful, to make a good statement, etc. And this is the weight of the crown that Huynh Tran Y Nhi owns.
According to the People's Army newspaper, the problem here is from the organizers, who represent her image, after putting a 21-year-old university student on the throne.
If their chosen one is criticized by the public, the organizers have a responsibility to stand up to the media storm to defend their views as well as their contestants, not let the young girl face the market.
Moreover, the organizers also need to advise, help and train their contestants on how to behave in front of interview questions, in front of flashes and even media crises before they are named Miss.
Communication expert Nguyen Ngoc Long once shared on Dan Viet: "In the past, many beauty queens have been dug up about the past after being crowned, such as poor academic performance, impolite obscenity, ugly image... But with Y Nhi it is different, all her problems lie in the clips/images made after the coronation. From sharing about boyfriends to insensitive words about peers, to the story "3 celebrities in Binh Dinh" ... It should be understood, after winning the crown, she had a binding contract with the management company, the responsibility for preserving the image belongs not only to Y Nhi anymore but to the whole team.
I've always wondered where the crew is when she's in such a mess. If I were to be in the role of a management unit, preserving the image and speech of the Miss, I could not leave her alone like that. I would never have accepted her appearance on a show like you are seeing if I had not personally checked and evaluated.
For example, before going on air, I would say to Miss, "Now that you're a reporter, try answering to see how you talk, how you move." The crew was also able to work entirely with the reporter to get the answers in advance, which is normal because this is just a conversation, not a contest to be afraid of revealing the answer. The fact that the crew failed to control his image is extremely reprehensible."
VTV said that this is an entertainment performance, let the market law filter out. The unit that does well survives, the unit that organizes poorly, creates beautiful people who are not supported by public opinion will be eliminated.
Looking further internationally, a series of countries once dubbed "Miss Powerhouses" such as the US, India, Venezuela, etc. are also facing the regression of beauty pageants. This is the inevitable law of a trend, a phenomenon.
In Vietnam, many newly crowned beauty queens and runners-up overnight have become victims of attacks and protests from anti-fans. Their emotional trauma becomes lucrative bait for fat water chisels, deepening negative emotions from the crowd, increasing engagement to run ads for profit.
The regression of the miss movement may cost some girls a chance to change their lives. But on the positive side, it helps them shed the implications of the crown.
Because few people fully recognize the weight of the crown, they inadvertently fall victim to the very crown they strive to achieve.
Y Nhi was officially sanctioned by the organizers, not allowed to compete in Miss World 2024, Aunt Dung still kept the crown Keng14:37:32 21/08/2023The Miss World Vietnam 2023 contest has just ended and left a lot of noise related to the crowned beauty Huynh Tran Y Nhi. Because of the controversy, Y Nhi was asked to strip her of her crown and reconsider her status as an international competition representative.
