Beauty forums are sharing screenshots of a private chat group allegedly belonging to Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee and her followers.

In the chat, Michelle Dee expressed surprise that the Philippines representative at the Miss Cosmo 2024 contest recently held in Vietnam, beauty Maria Ahtisa Manalo, had to stop at the top 10.

The chat reads: "Am I the only one who thinks Ahtisa Manalo will definitely win?". The chat is believed to imply that Indonesian beauty - Ketut Permata Juliastrid does not deserve to be crowned.

After the chat content went viral on social media, Michelle Dee faced fierce criticism from Indonesian beauty fans. They said that Michelle Dee mocked Ketut Permata Juliastrid's victory at Miss Cosmo 2024.

How terrible", "You are the worst Miss Universe Philippines in history", "How shameful", "Look at the superiority of 57 other countries, don't just look at your country and say that other countries don't deserve to win"... are comments from beauty fans on Michelle Dee's personal Instagram page.

Faced with a wave of fierce protests from Filipino audiences, Michelle Dee had to lock her personal page. She has yet to give any official explanation or apology for the incident.
