At the age of 44, singer Hien Thuc still surprises many people with her youthful and radiant appearance like a young woman in her twenties.
Always appearing with a bright smile, diverse fashion styles, few people expect that behind that image is a woman who has gone through many events, deep enough to look at life with calm and self-controllable eyes.
In a recent talk show, when asked why she didn't find a partner to accompany her in her old age, Hien Thuc did not shy away. She frankly expressed: "Happiness does not have to be tied to marriage or a man next to you." For the female singer, love, if it comes, will be received with a gentle attitude. But if she didn't, she was still full enoughâloving enough, strong enough, and joyful enough to live alone without feeling empty.
A personal perspective on old age and happiness
What surprised many viewers the most was when Hien Thuc shared that she had clearly told her daughter â Gia Bao â about her plan to live in a 5-star nursing home when she was old. Not because they are lonely or abandoned by their children, but because of their own choices. "I think that when I get old, I can freely go out with my old friends. I don't like being a burden to my children," she said, in a gentle but decisive voice.
"I'm a happy person, I don't have any sadness, I'm just lonely for a short time," the voice of Beloved in the Wind confided. That view of independent and modern living is something that not every artist has the courage to say, especially in an Asian culture that values family and intergenerational bonding.
A challenging youth
In order to have the current calm, Hien Thuc used to have to go through many ups and downs. At the age of 21, when her peers were still struggling with her first choices, she became a single mother. At that time, the singer was pregnant alone, still had to sing at bars and restaurants to earn money to prepare for the day of delivery. She is not afraid to admit that it is one of the most difficult periods of her life.
However, for more than 20 years, Hien Thuc has never regretted her decision to become a mother early. On the contrary, she considers it the right and lucky choice. Thanks to not having a big generation gap, Hien Thuc and her daughter easily share and accompany like two close friends. "My child is my best friend now," she said, her eyes sparkling with pride.
The singer also affirmed that she always respects all her children's choices, creates conditions for them to develop in their own way and does not impose anything, including getting married. That open mindset and unconditional love is what helps the mother-daughter relationship between her and Gia Bao to always be close and understanding.
Persistent career, constantly innovating style
Hien Thuc started singing very early when living at the Children's Home in Ho Chi Minh City. HCM. At the age of 18, she won the "Best Performing Singer" award at the Young Asian Vocal Contest in Shanghai. Since then, her career has been associated with many deep hits such as Love Email, Mother's Diary, Country Spirit, What I'm Afraid of...
Although she no longer appears as densely as before, Hien Thuc still regularly sings and updates new images on social networks. She spends a lot of time on herself â exercising, eating healthy, meeting friends and not being afraid to experiment with new fashion styles. Sometimes feminine, sometimes sexy, sometimes rebellious with personality hair â all show a spirit of youthfulness, real life and love for life.
Hien Thuc has never announced his retirement, nor does he need a "trick" to mention his name in showbiz. She lives calmly but persistently, works with sincerity and maintains a philosophy of free, independent living, not depending on any stereotypes.
