H'Hen Nie brought 700kg of home-grown rice to support the North, checking the statement revealed a shocking number

Miss H'Hen Nie deserves the title of national beauty queen, when at a time when the whole country turned to the "blood" North, helping people in flood-hit areas, H'Hen Nie did not stand still, when she wholeheartedly helped within her ability, receiving much gratitude.

On the afternoon of September 10, after learning that there were free buses in Dak Lak receiving necessities for people affected by Typhoon Yagi, Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H'Hen Nie and her family decided to donate all the rice they had just harvested to send to people in the flood-hit areas. More than 700 kg of rice (ST25 variety) was milled, packaged into small 5kg bags and sent to the northern provinces on the night of September 10.

Recently, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front released 12,028 pages of statements of flood donations. A series of Vietnamese celebrities also joined hands to help overcome the consequences. Among them is H'Hen Nie - Miss Universe Vietnam 2017.

Accordingly, the exact amount that H'Hen Nie donated to support the flood victims was 100 million VND. This figure was stated in the statement of account on September 10. In addition to the 100 million VND, H'Hen Nie also donated a large amount of necessities.

It is known that H'Hen Nie was present in Bac Giang and Lang Son to support people affected by floods with the Vietnam Red Cross. Present there, H'Hen Nie could not hide her emotion when hearing about the people's situation.

"Today, Hen went with the Vietnam Red Cross to participate in relief, give gifts and share with families. Homes were devastated, loved ones died, oh, I couldn't hold back my tears. Families told stories of fleeing the flood and then having nothing left in their houses, it was truly heartbreaking. Many people were just waiting for the rice and corn crops, but now they are gone, all that's left are rocks and stones swept away by the flood. There will be many difficulties, many things that need to be overcome after the storm and flood and will still be necessary in the future," H'Hen Nie confided on her personal page.

Miss H'Hen Nie said that because she was on a business trip in Ninh Thuan, she could not directly participate in the activities in her hometown of Dak Lak. She was very touched to see her family members and neighbors joining hands to help pack and transport rice from her home (in Cu Mgar district) to the center of Buon Ma Thuot city very quickly and promptly.

"Hen's family also decided to support a small part for the people. Hen feels proud when her family decided to share what she has. Hopefully these shares can spread, each person will contribute a little bit of themselves to support their fellow countrymen," said H'Hen Nie.

During her working trip to Ninh Thuan, H'Hen Nie continued her journey to bring friendly libraries to disadvantaged localities across the country with the organization Room To Read. This stop was Ninh Thuan to present two libraries at My Nhon Primary School (Thuan Bac District, Ninh Thuan Province) and Vo Thi Sau Primary - Secondary School (Bac Ai District, Ninh Thuan Province).

In particular, these two libraries have greater significance, as they are also contributions from individuals who participated in the Peace Marathon Open 2024 at the end of June.

At the library opening ceremony, H'Hen Nie emotionally shared: "Every time I read the messages sent by teachers, saying H'Hen, please come back to school and build a library, H'Hen's heart aches because H'Hen understands the teachers' desire for their students to have a new library. H'Hen has read all the messages and will try her best to build as many libraries as she can. Teachers, please wait for H'Hen!"

H'Hen Nie also shared her happiness when receiving information about the reading situation of the children in the libraries she gave, which was a great motivation for her to continue her project. In addition to giving away libraries, H'Hen Nie and the delegation also gave away scholarships, milk, and pens supported by benefactors.
