Recently, the news that a 4,500-person tourist group belonging to an Indian billionaire's group will travel to Vietnam suddenly became the hottest topic on Vietnamese social media. The group is expected to visit famous destinations with rich cultural and historical features in the capital Hanoi.

Included in the announced itinerary is a place located in the center of the capital, but it has only been in the last 2-3 years that it has attracted a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. That is Hoa Lo Prison Relic - one of the oldest historical museums in Hanoi, located in Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hoan Kiem District. Talking about Hoa Lo Prison, many people also call this place by the nickname "hell on earth".

Male tourist Sahil Sood (India) said this was his first time coming to Vietnam: "For Indians today, Vietnam is a famous tourist destination that everyone wants to visit. I myself come from the desert state of Rajasthan, so I really like the sea, so I want to go to Ha Long Bay. In Hanoi, I will explore the markets, spend time having fun and entertaining in the evening. Especially, I have to try Hanoi coffee, because when I was in India, I really liked Vietnamese coffee."

After this information was widely shared on social networks, many netizens left 'shocked' comments such as "Sisters in Hanoi should avoid going out during this time", "Is it really here, everyone",...

To properly welcome the group of visitors, Hoa Lo Prison has arranged a number of Hindi-speaking guides to welcome the group, and the signs are clearly written in 3 languages: Vietnamese, English and Hindi. The Temple of Literature has also reserved a separate entrance and created conditions for the group to have the best experience in Vietnam.

Today, Hoa Lo Prison is considered a historical museum, displaying and preserving many artifacts. But not only that, this place is also considered a historical evidence in the heart of the capital because, as its name suggests, it used to be a prison, where thousands of Vietnamese revolutionary soldiers were detained during the resistance war.

According to official information from the Monument Management Board, Hoa Lo Prison was built by the French in the late 19th century. At that time, this was one of the largest prisons in the Indochina region, used as a place to detain soldiers, patriotic cadres and Vietnamese revolutionaries.

Previously, the leaders of the Hanoi Department of Tourism had directed destinations and hotels to welcome the group of guests, improve service quality, and ensure food safety. After about 30 minutes of sightseeing, the first group of Indian guests left Hoa Lo Prison Relic, preparing to go to the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam.

During their 5-day, 4-night stay in Vietnam, the 4,500-person group stayed at 11 4-5 star hotels in Hanoi. After visiting Hoa Lo Prison and the Temple of Literature, the group will continue to visit Ninh Binh and Ha Long (Quang Ninh).
