"I think this is a normal emotion of young fans. Because young people should express their emotions of joy, anger, come and go very quickly. I understand and share that feeling. Some of you also have the move to criticize the leader of the contest.

I think we should stay calm and understand that every organizer will try to do their best. However, each person's reaction may be different. Some people will immediately say what they think, but others will calmly receive the public's reaction," Pham Kim Dung shared.

Ms. Dung said that instead of criticizing the organizers of Miss Grand International, the audience should encourage Thien An. Because the contest has passed and the final result is fixed, if Vietnamese fans get angry or protest, it won't change anything.

"Actually, the distance between the contestants in the contest is very thin. We can't see it from the outside. I hope that Vietnamese fans will show their love for Thien An by helping her complete the process. The more we think about whether An was forced to be executed or not, the more confused and thoughtful she becomes," she said.

We questioned the response from the organizers of Miss Peace Vietnam when Thien An was disparaged by Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil - President of Miss Grand International, Ms. Pham Kim Dung refused to share.

"At the moment, everything is quite noisy. I will wait for another opportunity to share more", Ms. Dung expressed.

Regarding some comments about the hosting of Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam after the noise in the past few days, Ms. Dung said she would respond later.

Talking more about Thien An and the results at Miss International Peace 2022, General Director of Golden Lotus Company said: "Fair or not is a concept that in my opinion is only relative. I think we should trust the judges, the organizers. They always want to work with the highest responsibility and will make the right choice. Thien An slipped in the top 10 due to lack of luck."

On October 26, Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil, President of Miss Grand International, shared that Doan Thien An, the representative of Vietnam, missed the top 10 in this year's contest because he did not meet the physical criteria. Mr. Nawat emphasized Thien An is the only contestant with "the upper body is longer than the lower body, the hips are big".

Mr. Nawat's statement was immediately criticized. Many people agree that each beauty contest has its own criteria, but it is unacceptable for the president of an international contest to publicly disparage a contestant's appearance.

This is not the first time that the president of Miss Grand International has caused controversy because of the body shaming of contestants. "Please change the name of the contest to Miss body shaming. I didn't expect the president of the big contest to say such words," an angry comment.

The sharing of the head of the beauty contest originating from Thailand caused fierce controversy on social networks. Many comments criticized Mr. Nawat for disparaging Thien An's appearance and calling for a boycott of the contest.

Talking to Ngoisao.net, Thien An said that he did not mind the bad comments of Mr. Nawat. The queen does not want to be affected by negative reviews. Besides, it doesn't matter whether she received an apology from the MGI president or not.
