Referring to Danh Thai, many viewers will immediately remember the villain roles in the hit TV series such as The Golden Triangle Secret, The Judge, The Boat of Fate and most recently the movie Dou Tri.

With a fierce appearance, a "terrible" expression and a "loud" voice, Danh Thai is often assigned roles that are somewhat thorny. However, few people know that in real life, Danh Thai is completely different from the stubborn roles in the movie.

Specializing in the treatment of villains

Before falling in love with the small screen in Vietnam, Danh Thai was originally a tuong artist. Currently, he is still working at the Vietnam Tuong Theater. Not born in an artistic family, Danh Thai has had a thirst for art since childhood. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in a theater and film school to continue his passion. But only when it was time to learn Tuong did he realize that this was his favorite genre.

While you were gifted and trained from a young age, Tuong and Danh Thai at that time were too strange. He is constantly self-studying, striving with the dream of standing on stage. Danh Thai charmed with TV series with villain roles. His somewhat fierce and taciturn appearance makes him easily transform into an "evil role" on the small screen. Nearly ten years ago, he was officially called to play the role of Ali through the movie "The Judge". In this 2017 stormy film, the character A Ly played by Danh Thai is a close junior of Phan Thi Group. A Ly is someone who is willing to "sell his life" for Phan Quan (the late People's Artist Hoang Dung) and Luong Bong (People's Artist Trung Anh). However, because his mind was too simple, Ali was tricked by Hoang Face Sat into betraying the corporation. Finally, when Phan Quan announced that A Ly was to be executed, Luong Bong violated the principle of leaving his juniors a way to live. After this role, Danh Thai's name also seems to have been changed, people call him Ali or "the judge".

In an interview with To Quoc newspaper, Danh Thai shared: "The first thing is that the director often invites me into these types of roles, perhaps because my appearance and face are suitable for villains, so When there is a script, just need to find someone for this character line, the director will immediately think of Danh Thai."

Although it is frustrating at times when he cannot access many other types of characters, Danh Thai still cherishes every opportunity to appear on the screen, he thinks that each role is worthy of respect and remembered by the audience. is also a success.

Recently, Danh Thai was again noticed by the audience when he appeared in the latest episode of the movie "Dou Tri". He plays the guy Thao "wolf" who has just been released from prison, causing difficulties for Captain Vu (actor Thanh Son). In the plot of the film, Captain Vu is blocked by two thugs - Thao "wolf", Cuong "boo" - who has just been released from prison. Vu still clearly remembers a series of crimes that these two men committed and the court sentenced the right person to the right crime. However, Danh Thai is still miserable when dealing with his daughter. According to him, every time he acted in a movie, his daughter would ask: What role do you play? When he found out, he took on the role of a villain. The two daughters said: Dad plays the villain again. According to him, playing a villain is bitter and miserable, but he never once wanted to give up acting.

Having a complete family to live with the profession is both a joy and a challenge for actor Danh Thai. The actor said the day he got married, in order to have more income besides acting and singing, Danh Thai also practiced business. However, he suffered many bankruptcies and money losses because of his "artist nature". Danh Thai once opened a rather large pub.

Because he could not account for capital, the shop collapsed after a while. After that, he continued to invest more capital in karaoke services. However, due to many reasons, it had to be closed. However, Danh Thai did not give up: "I am in the business of beer and drink restaurants. I can't give up difficult!".
