Vietnamese beauty is "blossoming" from the classroom to the national arena. Ho Chi Minh City Open University has just found the Miss and Mister OU 2025. At the same time, Miss University of Commerce Tran Minh Thu registered for Miss Vietnam 2024, affirming her aspiration to reach new heights.

The final night of the "Miss & Mister OU" 2025 Student Beauty Contest took place on the evening of January 12 and found the two most outstanding faces: Nguyen Thi Truc Vi and Nguyen Quoc Huy.

Truc Vi, born in 2006, a first-year student majoring in Sociology - Social Work - Southeast Asia, won over the judges and the audience with her radiant beauty and confidence. She not only won the Miss crown but was also honored as "Best Face".

Not only possessing outstanding beauty with a height of 1m71, Truc Vi is also an active girl, loves art and always desires to challenge herself. Besides studying, Truc Vi also asserts herself in the role of photo model and MC.

Sharing her motivation for joining the contest, Truc Vi said: "Joining the contest gives me the opportunity to explore myself, expand my relationships and learn valuable experiences from my seniors and friends. It is a stepping stone for me to become more mature, more confident and ready to conquer new challenges." Truc Vi's training process is also very impressive, from physical training to improving communication and performance skills, showing her seriousness and determination.

On the male side, Nguyen Quoc Huy, a 4th year student of the Faculty of Construction, has excellently won the title of King. Quoc Huy not only has good academic achievements but also actively participates in extracurricular activities, once holding the position of Secretary of the Youth Union of the Faculty of Construction. He has also achieved many other achievements such as the Encouragement Prize for Scientific Research of the Faculty of Construction, Third Prize in the 2023 Volleyball Sports Festival, First Prize in the Tug of War Sports Festival 2022, 2024, and was Deputy Commander of Green Summer, Commander of the Mid-Autumn Festival of the Faculty of Construction.

The 2025 Miss & Mister OU Student Beauty Contest has attracted more than 100 contestants since November 2024, including students from international joint programs from Laos, France, and Cambodia, demonstrating the diversity and scale of the contest. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha - Rector of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, said that the contest is a useful playground, creating opportunities for students to express themselves and practice their skills.

At the same time as the "Miss & Mister OU" contest, another notable news came from Miss University of Commerce Tran Minh Thu. She officially submitted her application to participate in Miss Vietnam 2024 at the admissions day at the Diplomatic Academy. Minh Thu, with an impressive height of 1m77, comparable to Miss Do Thi Ha, has made a strong impression with her beautiful appearance and confident communication skills.

Minh Thu is no stranger to beauty pageants. She was crowned Miss FPT University and Miss University of Commerce. With her experience and careful preparation, Minh Thu is considered a potential candidate for the Miss Vietnam 2024 crown. She shared that she has cherished this dream for a long time and considers Miss Vietnam the most prestigious beauty pageant in the country.
