The sudden death of Assistant Coach - Duong Minh Ninh in a tragic traffic accident made football fans feel sorry. It is known that he is a "teacher" accompanying Cong Phuong, Van Thanh and has 20 years working with HAGL Club.

According to media reports, on the afternoon of August 12, a continuous accident occurred on National Highway 14 - the section through Ia Hrú commune, Chu Puh district, Gia Lai. The car carrying 4 members of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Club (HAGL) crashed - sandwiched between the heads of 2 trucks. The accident killed 3 members of HAGL th* club including: assistant coach Duong Minh Ninh, doctor Tri Dao and foreign soldier Paollo Oliveira.

This information caused football fans in particular and Vietnamese people in general to grieve and lament. In particular, Assistant Duong Minh Ninh is the oldest and has the longest time with the club. It is known that he used to work as an assistant to coach Park Hang Seo in the Vietnamese team and has more than 20 years with HAGL club.

Mr. Duong Minh Ninh used to be an important striker of HAGL club when he was young. He was also one of the people who helped HAGL win the runner-up position in the national first division in 2002 and win promotion to the V.League.

In two seasons, in 2003 and 2004, Mr. Duong Minh Ninh was crowned champion twice in a row with HAGL in the Vietnam Football League - V.league. Later, he retired to logistics when he no longer competed.

In 2007, Mr. Ninh worked as an assistant to coach Guilaume Graechen at HAGL football academy - Arsenal JMG. Here, he led HAGL's golden players from the early days of football practice such as Cong Phuong, Van Toan, Tuan Anh, Xuan Truong, Hong Duy, Van Thanh, Minh Vuong...

According to those who worked with him, Coach Yang Minh Ning was a gentle, quiet person; He was always gentle and very kind. He also has a close relationship with players in the club and the Vietnamese team.

Recently, coach Park Hang Seo expressed his deep condolences on the loss of his former colleagues: "I am saddened by the tragic incident related to the loss of players, coaches and doctors of HAGL Club. The owner of HAGL also could not hide his grief when hearing the news that the club's god - assistant coach Duong Minh Ninh, striker Paollo and doctor Dao Trong Tri suddenly died.

"I was shocked. This loss is too big," HAGL's boss told VnExpress. "Yang Mingning is gentle, so I love him. He has been involved through all the ups and downs with the club, from his playing days, working as an assistant to Guillaume Graechen to coach the first grade of HAGL Academy and then directly leading the team."

Accordingly, after the last match of the 2023 V. League season between Hoàng Anh Gia Lai and Sông Lam Nghệ An at Vinh Stadium (Group B, phase II- V. League 2023), the entire team was rested by the Coaching Board after a long football season.

Assistant coach Duong Minh Ninh, striker Paollo and doctor Tri Dao returned to their headquarters and were picked up by the club. On the way from Dak Lak to Gia Lai, when arriving at Phu Quang market, Ia Hrú commune, Chu Puh district, there was an accident that killed 3 people on the spot, the driver was seriously injured - was taken to the emergency by the authorities.
