When the news about the 7X singer performing in the US despite being suspended from performing for 9 months was announced by the media, responding to the domestic press, a representative of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City said that there were no sanctions for the case of singer Dam Vinh Hung being invited by foreign organizations or individuals to sing abroad (not on Vietnamese territory).

Not only did Dam Vinh Hung circumvent the law to perform abroad during the time he was banned from performing, he is also still making money from the social networking platform YouTube.

Accordingly, after being banned from releasing music products on his personal YouTube channel with more than 1.86 million subscribers, Mr. Dam has shifted to releasing his new products through the YouTube channel DAM VINH HUNG MUSIC managed by Tieng Hat Viet Entertainment Company Limited.

Information from the National Business Registration Portal shows that this company was established in September 2015, with Ms. Luong Minh Hong as Director and Legal Representative. This is one of the companies that Mr. Dam contributed capital to establish.

Initially, the company had a charter capital of 2 billion VND, with 3 founding shareholders including: Mr. Huynh Minh Hung (Dam Vinh Hung) contributed 1.5 billion VND, holding 75% of the charter capital, the remaining 2 shareholders, Ms. Luong Minh Hong and Mr. Nguyen Hong Phuc, each contributed 250 million VND, each owning 12.5% of the company's shares. By September 2019, Tieng Hat Viet Company increased its charter capital to 5 billion VND, the capital contribution ratio of the 3 shareholders remained unchanged.

According to Socialblade data, the YouTube channel managed by Dam Vinh Hung's company was created in February 2024 and currently has 248 videos published, attracting more than 19 million views. The channel also has more than 39,300 subscribers. Socialblade estimates that the channel earns from more than 600 USD to more than 10,100 USD per month, equivalent to about 15 million VND to more than 239 million VND. Each year, this channel can earn from 7,600 USD to 121,400 USD, equivalent to 180 million VND to nearly 2.9 billion VND. In addition to managing the YouTube channel, this company is also managing Dam Vinh Hung's fanpage with more than 6.5 million followers.

In addition to causing controversy when performing abroad, Dam Vinh Hung has also attracted public attention in recent days when he was involved in a lawsuit demanding compensation of up to 50 million USD (about 1,200 billion VND) with American technology billionaire Gerard Richard Williams - singer Bich Tuyen's husband, for the incident of losing his leg while visiting and performing at the home of a close colleague.

However, on December 4, Dam Vinh Hung announced that he was withdrawing the lawsuit. He said that he and Bich Tuyen's husband sat down to talk, and together they decided to withdraw the lawsuit and pledged not to sue again.

Although Dam Vinh Hung withdrew his lawsuit, an American billionaire recently filed a counter-suit against the male singer. Tech billionaire Gerard Richard Williams said he has been working with a team of lawyers, including three American legal experts and a Vietnamese lawyer, since October 9 to draft a response to Dam Vinh Hung's lawsuit and prepare a cross-suit.

His cross-petition was accepted by the California Supreme Court on December 2, requiring Dam Vinh Hung to pay honorable compensation of $1 (about 25,000 VND) along with an apology.

In addition, the American billionaire's lawsuit also mentioned that Dam Vinh Hung had sued Gerard with constantly changing compensation requests, from 15 million USD, 5 million USD, 20 million USD, and finally 50 million USD.
