In the final episode of season 5 of "Single's Inferno," the story of one of the most talked-about contestants of the season officially came to an end when Miss Earth Mina Sue Choi chose to leave with Lee Sung Hun.
Ending on February 10th, the final episode featured a total of five successfully matched couples, and the pairing of Mina Sue Choi and Sung Hun was one of the most talked-about moments among international viewers.
The show garnered attention throughout the season thanks to the participation of many famous figures with impressive personal profiles, but Mina Sue Choi, the reigning Miss Earth 2022, became the focus of controversy when she didn't focus her affections on a single person from the beginning of the season. In the early episodes, she was seen getting to know four different male contestants simultaneously, instead of targeting one specific person, leading viewers and netizens to question her motives and how she approached the other candidates. Additionally, some of her comments were criticized as speaking negatively about other female contestants, further fueling online debate about her attitude and behavior on the show.
However, when it came to the final round, Mina Sue Choi and Sung Hun appeared together on stage in the final episode. According to the script, the female contestant stood at the gate of "hell," and any male contestant wishing to leave the island with her would approach to express their feelings. Sung Hun stepped forward, expressing his desire to accompany Mina Sue, and ultimately, the two held hands as they left the island, marking a final connection of the season. Mina later admitted that she understood she was disliked for her emotional journey on the show, but insisted she had no regrets about being true to her thoughts and feelings.
Lee Sung Hun, who left with Mina Sue, was one of the most ശ്രദ്ധed contestants in season 5, not only because of his handsome appearance but also because of his impressive professional and educational background.
Lee Sung Hun holds a double degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from the prestigious UC Berkeley in the United States; and is currently a quantitative trader in New York City, earning a salary that can range from $500,000 to $1 million per year.
Previously, he worked as an AI software engineer at Amazon, Google, Snowflake, and Accenture.
Additionally, there are rumors that Sung Hun is the nephew of former South Korean President Lee Myung Bak, although he has not confirmed this.
Shortly after "Single's Hell 5" aired, Sung Hun faced accusations of cheating on his girlfriend, but he quickly denied all the allegations in an official statement.
Throughout the show, audience opinions of Lee were quite mixed; some praised his personality and appearance, while others were skeptical.
Recently, on Xiaohongshu (RedNote) – a Chinese social media platform – a user shared a story about her boyfriend meeting Lee Sung Hun at the gym.
According to this person, although she wasn't very impressed with Sung Hun on the show, in real life he's "much more handsome" and "looks like a kind person." Sung Hun even asked the girl's boyfriend about the netizens' reactions to him on RedNote.
The post was then reposted, and Sung Hun received many compliments on his appearance. In the photo taken at the gym, his fashion style and hairstyle were praised by fans.
