'Tinker Fairy' has a fascinating way of teaching English, revealing a formidable past?

Huynh Vu Thuy Tien, a name not unfamiliar to the English learning community, is a charming and energetic young girl who attracts millions of views on social networks.

Huynh Vu Thuy Tien, born in 1996, is an English teacher from Quang Ngai, famous on social media with another name "Tinker Fairy". In 2019, Tien won the runner-up prize of the Quang Ngai Beauty contest.

She was a student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Ho Chi Minh City National University. After graduating, Thuy Tien became a young tourism ambassador representing the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, opening an important turning point in her English teaching career. With her million-view English learning videos, Thuy Tien not only inspires but also helps millions of people learn English effectively and creatively.

The journey to becoming a prominent individual in the field of English education on social networks was not easy for Thuy Tien when she first started her teaching career.

The 9X girl had a childhood like everyone else, studying English from primary to high school, then graduating from university with a degree in tourism. Thuy Tien said that at that time she did not really love and was not confident in communicating in English.

Faced with language difficulties, she decided to challenge herself with the job of tour guide for foreign guests. From there, Tien improved her listening and speaking skills, confidently communicating with all accents of foreign guests.

The beautiful girl's efforts did not stop there, Thuy Tien applied to international cultural exchange programs, at the age of 19, she did not expect that she would officially become a young tourism ambassador representing the city's Department of Tourism through Phnom Penh (Cambodia) to introduce her country.

"Until now, I still often tell this story to my students and remind them: "If you are afraid of something, just try to do more". Thanks to not giving up that day, I have had great learning and experience opportunities later on" - Thuy Tien shared.

After that great opportunity, Thuy Tien wanted to improve her multilingual communication skills, so she joined the Aupair cultural exchange program in Europe. In addition, with the desire to explore the world, she conquered Europe in 1 year, becoming a global citizen.

At the age of 20, before she had the chance to go to Europe, Thuy Tien had an unexpected accident that left her in a wheelchair and put all her plans on hold. Not giving up on her fate, she started opening small private English classes at home. It was during that difficult moment that Thuy Tien realized her passion for teaching. These small classes not only helped her overcome personal challenges but also laid the foundation for her inspiring career in English education later on.

After returning from Europe, with her love for teaching and inspiring many generations, Thuy Tien decided to open many English classes suitable for all ages. She also challenged herself in many different roles such as partner management, communications, and training.

The videos that are spreading on social networks are not just dry traditional teaching videos, but Thuy Tien is very quick to use her own hobbies of singing and dancing, she cleverly integrates them into the lessons, adding a bit of entertainment to help learners absorb more easily.

In addition, thanks to her beautiful appearance, balanced body and stylish way of dressing, she attracts more views, however, the 9X girl also received many negative comments that were considered inappropriate compared to a normal teacher. Thuy Tien expressed: "In class, I teach both communication and presentation skills (body, emotions, language), English is only a small part. My style of dressing and my students are both comfortable because I do not want the constraints of going to school. Moreover, I always encourage everyone to not only enrich their knowledge but also take care of their appearance to shine more confidently".

In just over 2 short months, Thuy Tien built a social system on Facebook and Instagram with impressive numbers that anyone building a social network would desire. The Tiktok channel has attracted 240,000 followers and nearly 2 million likes.

All the content she conveys receives positive responses from domestic to international audiences. Tinker Fairy has built a free social system and reached out to young people.

Despite many difficulties, Tien still tries her best to rebuild from scratch and uses that as experience for her future. The young girl born in 1996 always has the mindset of "failure is when you give up" and believes that rebuilding is just a matter of time. For Tien, as long as she has inner strength, perseverance and love and support from the community, everything can be achieved within reach.

With all the passion of youth, that girl traveled alone to 80 cities in 16 different countries around the world. Through that, she accumulated a lot of experience and understanding about international culture and communication.
