Che Linh added that some people asked why he only spoke up about Dam Vinh Hung now. He explained that the reason he spoke up now was because the matter was related to the collective of artists. "I am still lucid and can see the common danger to the art community, so I need to speak up to correct the children and grandchildren," Che Linh said.

In a previous vlog, Che Linh said he firmly refused when Dam Vinh Hung asked him to sing a duet at a show in Binh Duong. Che Linh said that because Dam Vinh Hung was improvising, he was not prepared so he could not sing freely.

"I refused Dam Vinh Hung because the song was not in the script. I had not prepared anything. Dam Vinh Hung told me that this song was old and did not need to be prepared.
