Singer Thien My: Because her family is well-off, she rarely goes to shows, and has been asked to be a concubine many times.

Thien My is known as a famous singer and actress in Vietnamese showbiz. She doesn't perform too many shows or participate in programs to promote her name, but she still has a full life.

Thien My, born in 1989, is a beautiful singer and actress, famous in the Vietnamese entertainment industry. She graduated from the Vocal Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music with a perfect score.

It is known that Thien My was a student of famous names such as: People's Teacher Ho Mo La, Meritorious Artist Phuong Lan... Previously, the female singer participated in the K4teen contest organized by HTV Television. That year, she won third prize.

After the competition ended, Thien My received many invitations to go to the South, but she refused them all and returned to focus on studying vocal training as well as stage management skills. It was not until she graduated with an excellent degree that she began to find her own path.

Explaining this, Thien My said: "At the time of the competition, I was too young and did not have a team to support me or anyone to advise me on my musical path. Moreover, since I was little, my family had oriented me that if I wanted to do something, I had to graduate and have a university degree. After the competition, although I received many invitations, I turned them all down to go back to school to practice my vocal technique well."

Because she focused on her music career, Thien My didn't sing too much. She confided: "I don't want to do too many shows to affect my singing. Therefore, I only know how to study and practice singing. When I look back, my friends who started at the same time as me, like Ai Phuong, have become famous singers. If I say I don't feel sad, I'd be lying. Who in the arts dares to say that they don't need to be famous? However, I always think that being famous and becoming a star is also fate. Sometimes, singers like us need to have a connection with a hit song."

Small in stature but with a deep, powerful voice, Thien My can sing many different genres of music, from old music to young music. After a long time performing, although quite successful and in high demand with old music, she chose young music to conquer the audience and it will be a long road.

Although she doesn’t perform too many shows or participate in programs to promote her name, Thien My still has a full life. Therefore, there was a time when the female singer was rumored to have a rich man supporting her. She didn’t care about those rumors, because she was lucky to be born into a family with parents who were always devoted to her, creating conditions for her to freely pursue her career.

Someone offered to make me a "second wife" and not have to suffer singing, but I refused. For me, I am still young, I still have ambitions and am not allowed to depend on anyone."

Speaking more about the 2009 K4teen contest, Nguyen Thanh Phong, 16 years old, an 11th grader at Horizon International High School, was awarded the first prize by the judges. In addition, this young man also won the "Best Pop Singer" award voted by visitors. Second prize went to Phan Le Ai Phuong (20 years old), a student at Ho Chi Minh City Open University. Third prize went to Nguyen Thi Mai Huong - Thien My (21 years old), a student at the Hanoi National Academy of Music.

In addition to the "Best Pop Singer" award going to Nguyen Thanh Phong, visitors also voted for "Best Rock Singer" to be contestant Chu Duy Doan, 20 years old, a student at Hanoi College of Industrial Economics, and "Best Rap Singer" to be Nguyen Anh Tuan, 19 years old, a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry.

The contestants also expressed satisfaction with the results and all considered themselves lucky to have received enthusiastic support and votes from everyone. Contestant Chu Duy Doan said: "There are many outstanding singers and the competition is fierce. Suppose if Duy Doan did not win the "Best Rock Singer" award but another contestant, it would not be surprising."

Besides Nguyen Thi Mai Huong (Thien My), a contestant with a clear orientation towards a professional singing career while studying at the Hanoi National Academy of Music, the other contestants are students from different schools, but all share a passion for music and are ready to challenge themselves if musical opportunities arise.
