In a TV program, Minh Quan recently shared about 6 years of "hiding because of inferiority in appearance when gaining too much weight:

"It's true that I haven't released new music in the last 6 years and rarely appear on TV. The reason why I'm afraid to appear is because I've gained weight uncontrollably. Standing in front of the mirror, I feel if I'm on screen. would be a huge minus, so I turned down all the offers of the show's brothers and sisters."

Instead of introducing new products or appearing in public, Minh Quan focuses on music production. The male singer admits that during this time, he was very stressed because of his failure to lose weight:

"There were times when I was stressed a lot about having to change, regaining my image and coming back to the stage. I tried everything to lose weight, but it took 5 years of "swimming" in the past. that tired.

I have searched a lot of materials, weight loss methods abroad. I also exercise, go to a nutritionist... in general, find all ways to lose weight. But perhaps my will is not enough to be able to change my image completely.

About 2 years ago, I learned about a weight loss method that was implemented in Vietnam. I also follow the people who have done the method to see if they really get results.

And when it worked, I gave it a try. In the past half year, I have lost 18kg."

Specifically, Minh Quan used gastric bypass surgery to lose weight: "I've cut 80% of my stomach, now my stomach is only as small as a banana, eat a little and I'm full. I did not dare to share this method with my family because no one had thought of doing so.

When the surgery was done, only 1 month later I had lost 8kg. During the first time I only ate pureed foods, then my body adjusted and lost weight. I have to adjust my diet and then the weight will continue to lose."

Minh Quan said that he decided to have gastric bypass surgery not only for the purpose of losing weight:

"Before the surgery, I considered for a week whether I should do it or not. Because to be honest, I was very afraid of pain. But if I didn't do it, I wouldn't have a good image to return to art.

Moreover, I am also worried that being overweight or obese will adversely affect my health. When Covid-19 raged, I went for a health check and the doctor told me that there were some quite dangerous indicators such as blood fat, liver fat, reaching the threshold of diabetes ...

In addition, I know obese people, if they have Covid-19, have a higher risk of death. That's why I decided to have surgery."

The male singer confided that with his current appearance, he was confident to return as a singer:

"Two months ago, I started performing again. Besides, I also completed my recording studio. Hopefully from now to the end of the year I will complete the audio part for the new product and into the new year. can introduce the product to the audience".
