Discovering the incident, the apartment security guard ran to intervene but failed. The male singer was beaten by a council, resulting in lying motionless on the floor and injured in the hands, feet and eyes.

Singer Che Phi shared: "After I was beaten, I lost consciousness, and later I was helped to go home by security. This morning I went to Binh Thanh Hospital for a checkup, now I still have headaches and nausea."

Che Phi's real name is Luu Hoang Phi, born in 1971. He is a singer, songwriter, son of famous singer Che Linh with his first wife, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hiep, a former employee of the Saigon Electricity Department.

His parents divorced when he was very young. Therefore, Che Phi stayed with her mother for a few months and then stayed with her father for a few months. In 1980, his father crossed the border to Canada and brought his eldest son (singer Che Phuong). At that time, Che Phi was only 9 years old.

When he left, he left the villa by the Saigon Bridge for his first wife, but she refused to stay, partly because she worked far away and partly because she was granted a house by the state.
