They think that Taeyang's ability to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 chart is thanks to his collaboration with Jimin (BTS) on the song "VIBE".

The incident quickly escalated, creating a strong wave of protests in the Kpop fan community. Many people think that the actions of a part of ARMY have gone beyond the limit, negatively affecting BTS's image and creating unnecessary division between fandoms. They also defended Taeyang, saying that he simply shared his personal views and had no intention of putting anyone down.

Under increasing pressure from the wave of outrage, Taeyang made an official move on the evening of January 6. He posted a story on Instagram, accompanied by a link to the full video of the interview with CNN. In the post, he urged fans to watch the entire interview to better understand the context of his speech, avoiding misunderstandings due to incomplete clippings or quotes.
