Recently, social media was shocked by the news that an Indian tycoon spent billions to buy a special breed of dog. The dog, named Cadabomb Okami, is a cross between a wolf and a Caucasian shepherd dog, first bred in the former Soviet Union.
Okami, considered the rarest dog breed in the world, was born in the US and was sold to Mr Sathis last month. Mr Sathis currently owns more than 150 different breeds of dogs and is a familiar name in the dog breeding world in India. Sharing about his latest "deal", he said: "This is an extremely rare breed of dog and looks exactly like a wolf. This breed has never been sold in the world before. The dog was bred in the US and is very special. I spent 500 million rupees (about 136 billion VND) to own it because I love dogs and want to own unique breeds to introduce in India."
In the southwestern Indian state of Karnataka, Okami has become the center of attention when Mr. Sathis takes this dog to many prominent events. People here are willing to pay large sums of mone.y to admire rare breeds. Each time he appears at exclusive events with his unique dogs, Mr. Sathis can earn between 2,200 and 9,000 pounds (about 68-278 million VND).
Okami has an impressive appearance, a mixture of the wildness of a wolf and the majesty of a Caucasian shepherd. With a large body, rippling muscles and thick fur, Okami exudes strength and bravery. At 8 months old, this dog weighed 75kg and was 76cm tall, showing the outstanding development of this hybrid breed.
In addition to its impressive appearance, Okami is also highly regarded for its personality. Carrying the bloo.d of the Caucasian Shepherd Dog, this dog possesses the qualities of loyalty, protection and obedience. At the same time, the intelligence of a wolf also helps Okami become agile and easy to train.
"I spend mone.y on these dogs because they are rare. Plus, I earn a lot from people's curiosity. They take selfies and videos. My dog and I attract more attention than an actor at a movie premiere. We are the center of attention," Sathis said.
In addition to Okami, this breeder also owns a rare Chow-Chow dog, which he bought last year for £2.5 million (about 77 billion VND). To protect the rare dogs, Mr. Sathis had to invest in a strict security system, including a 3-meter high fence surrounding the dog kennel and continuous surveillance cameras.
According to local news site DNA India, Mr. Sathis started breeding dogs in 1990 and later founded his own company that breeds, imports dogs and organizes dog shows. His company proudly claims to have bred more than 100 champion dogs.
With the appearance of Okami, Mr. Sathis not only affirmed his position in the dog breeding industry but also continued to make the dog-loving community in India "crazy" with unique and expensive dog breeds.
Okamiâs price of VND136 billion has caused a lot of controversy and mixed opinions in the pet-loving community around the world. Many people think that this price is too high and unreasonable, especially in the context of many people facing economic difficulties. They think that this amount of mone.y can be used for more meaningful purposes, such as helping abandoned or troubled animals.
However, there are also many people who support this deal. They believe that Okami is a special and rare dog, worthy of the sky-high price. They also believe that a rich person's spending mone.y on a pet is their personal right and should not be judged.
The Okami deal represents a new trend among the super-rich, where pets are seen as symbols of luxury and class. Pets are not only cared for with the highest level of care, but are also seen as living works of art.
Owning a rare and expensive pet not only shows wealth but also affirms the owner's status and class. It has become a way for the super-rich to show their difference and uniqueness.
