Amber Heard files 43-page appeal, changes jury and retrial against Johnny Depp

Heard's attorneys, who were found guilty of three defamation charges filed by Depp, stated in a 43-page petition filed last week that the ruling was not substantiated by evidence in The ex-couple's blockbuster trial.

"If Heard wants to appeal, she must have a bond for the entire sentence worth $10.35 million, plus 6% interest per year," the source said.

Broderick Dunn, Virginia's civil attorney, said the court's statement was not unusual. He said that by law, the party that did not win the case must commit to a binding amount for the amount of money to be paid for the entire judgment, if it wants to appeal.
