16 TYPH: Rap competition suddenly becomes Binz's pet peeve, supported by teacher to join SpaceSpeakers

16 Typh became known as a student of rapper Binz when participating in the first season of "Rap Viet". In addition, he is also the rumored lover of singer Min - the owner of the hit song "On Friendship Under Love".

16 Typh, whose real name is Pham Hoang Hai, was born on February 2, 1994 in Hai Phong and is a member of 16 Northside. At the program "Rap Viet" he returned to the coaching team of Binz, some HIT songs with him can be mentioned as: Smoke, Don't Waste My Time, Ride around town, ...

When asked what Rap name means, he said, it's a combination of 16 and Typh: 16 is an old license plate in Hai Phong, and Typh is his nickname.

When coming to "Rap Vietnam", 16 Typh also sent a message to other brothers: "Youth should risk challenges to break your limits, live not to waste youth because it is only once. If you are consistent and believe in the path you choose, you will succeed."

Since 2005, at that time, he was just a teenager who loved to rap and was a fan of rap. But after a while, he realized that rap was gradually ingrained in him and his passion for this sport also grew.

It wasn't until 2015 that 16 Typh decided to take rapping seriously. At that time, the guy did not receive the support of relatives. This is understandable because at that time this music genre was still something very strange to the Vietnamese public. Moreover, he often neglected his studies to pursue his passion.

After a period of dedication to "underground music", proving to his family that he can take care of himself, 16 Typh was supported by his parents, changed his outlook and is now increasingly proud of what he has achieved. When Typh joined "Rap Viet" his family did not know, only when he called home to inform him that his parents would hear the news and cheer him on.

16 Typh once made the online community "collapse" with melancholy rap performances in songs such as: Work, Arrogance, Ever,... And the most prominent is the MV Don't Waste My Time (mentioned by coach Karik in Rap Viet).

The rapper's MV invested in staging the song, thoughtful and highly appreciated for both listening and visual. In the song anfy 16 Typh has extremely attractive rap verses, bold personality and color. Even MC ILL gave a l.ot of winged compliments: "This is the most beautiful rap MV I've ever seen in Vietnamese rap, it's really too worldly."

16 Typh shared, he came to the Rap Viet program by chance, that day a friend of his came to register for the casting he accompanied to cheer and encourage the spirit. He felt that if he signed up for the program, he would experience how to work professionally and have the opportunity to meet people he had wanted to meet for a long time. The rapper finally decided to enroll.

After their performance, 16 Typhs were also asked by judge Rhymastic to "freestyle" on the spot. So the Hai Phong rapper was given the opportunity to s.how off his extremely quality improvised rapping skills, overcoming many "heavyweight" opponents to become a contestant on the s.how.

In round 1 (conquest round) of Rap Viet he experimented with the theme of love, the song "Smoke" on the original music "Have you quit smoking?" by Bich Phuong. With a very attractive performance, 16 Typh was chosen by all 3 coaches and they also gave him a l.ot of praise.

Specifically, coach Binz said: "16 Typh owns a million dollar f.low, this f.low is HIT Maker f.low, this f.low is not for listening but for creating HIT." Karik commented after the performance: "The first is handsome, the rap verses it is very valuable and each rap verse it goes through and saves, thinking what that sentence is like. It's pretty special." After careful deliberation and being given the right to choose by 2 judges, 16 Typh decided on Coach Binz's team.

The trip to Saigon was longer than planned when the guy from the position of "relative" to take you to the exam became a "pet" student of Coach Binz, and then there was a long way but enough to make a deep impression on the audience.

Constantly refreshing yourself with diverse, colorful transformations in each entry is how 16 Typhs in turn overcome the Conquer - Confront - Breakthrough rounds. All 3 of his performances received a shower of praise from the judges, coaches and audience.

Despite impressing with the raps "Smoke", "Meet Ignorant", "Who Is He", the last 16 Typh still could not overcome strong rival Cricket Chot - student Wowy in episode 11 "Rap Viet" season 11. Despite having to stop at the s.how, 16 Typh not only happily accepted the result, but he also felt proud that he had "won in glory, gone in glory".

Coming out of "Rap Viet", a "new door" seems to have opened with the career of 16 Typh. He began to be taken by Binz himself to perform and also joined the "empire" of SpaceSpeakers - the famous "Hip-hop empire" with many contributions to the underground world in Vietnam.

Sharing with the media, 16 Typh said that after a period of contact, work and learning from SpaceSpeakers members, the rapper felt more serious about his music as well as his future direction.

"If SpaceSpeakers had badboy Mr. Binz and playboy Mr. SOOBIN then 16 Typh would have been a little bit of a takeaway from both of you. I want people to see me as a guy who is free in music, lifestyle or fashion," 16 Typh said.

Not long ago, 16 Typh attracted attention when collaborating with NSX MastaL, returning to the "track" of Vietnamese music with the MV "Real rap real life". The song of the same name was written by 16 Typh himself, using his own story and lifestyle to write the lyrics.

In the song, the rapper repeatedly emphasized the spirit of "living and working according to the law" and called for the abolition of v.iolence, evils ... Through rap lyrics, he also somewhat reveals his life now.
