Weeekly: Kpop's girl group, "shining" visuals without a single flaw

Weeekly is a rookie girl group that debuted on June 30, 2020 with their first mini album called We Are. As the first girl group that Play M Entertainment introduced to the public nearly 10 years after A Pink (debuted in 2011), Weeekly received a lot of attention and anticipation from the Kpop fan community. Member Shin Jiyoon (born in 2002) also participated in the MIXNINE program and finished in 44th place. She is the lead vocalist, lead dancer and rapper in the group. In addition, the female idol is also talented in drawing and composing music.

With the artist's health as the top priority, Jiyoon herself, her family, medical professionals, and IST Entertainment have carefully discussed whether she is ready to resume her activities. However, we have decided that Jiyoon needs to be in an environment where she can fully focus on her mental health and continue to focus on treatment.

Therefore, as of June 1, 2022, Jiyoon will officially end her activities as a member of Weeekly. Weeekly will continue their journey as a six-member group.

Many viewers agree that Weeekly is a potential group. However, others commented that calling the group "visually flaw-free" is quite forced and an over-the-top PR move by the management company.
