On September 25, singer Vy Oanh released the album Illusion, marking her return after a long period of almost being absent from the music market. The project was conceived and carried out by her for a year with many musicians and arrangement teams.

Vy Oanh said this was a calculated choice after temporarily putting her career on hold to take care of her family. "For me, each passing day is just about improving and being more honest with myself, singing and sharing through music is enough," she said.

When asked about the pressure of competition in the era of social media explosion, with the appearance of many Gen Z stars, Vy Oanh frankly said: "As an artist, everyone wants to live in the spotlight, but you have to be realistic and know where you are. I was invited to participate in the first season of "Beautiful Sister Who Makes the Waves", but I measured my own strength and found that I did not have enough physical strength and time to participate and compete directly with young artists as well as the majority of their audience, so I had to refuse," Vy Oanh said.

She added that her time and health are currently focused on many things, having a family and children, and not being able to devote herself to music as before. "Even though I regret it, I think I have to know how to choose, I can't do everything. The most important thing is to do what suits my circumstances and values," Vy Oanh added.

This year, the singer has returned to performing at home and abroad. She is also busy preparing a new music project. "Thanks to my husband, I can focus on my career and invest in music. I will sing as long as there are people listening," the singer said.

The 8x singer said she is satisfied with her life and does not put too much emphasis on "bread and butter" because she has a stable income thanks to her own business. When she needs a large sum of money, her husband is ready to support her.

"This is a difficult song but I want to challenge myself. For me, making music is about living with real emotions," she said.
