Dam Vinh Hung's ex-wife is accused by a young singer of borrowing money and defaulting on the debt; is Ms. Hang's statement true?

News that Lien Pham, Dam Vinh Hung's ex-wife, has been accused by a male singer of defaulting on a debt is causing a stir in public opinion.

The incident stemmed from a public post by singer Vo Dinh Phuoc on his personal page, in which he directly named the female show promoter and recounted the entire situation that had lasted for many years.

In the post, the male singer begins with rather measured words: "Dear Ms. Lien Pham. You are known to the public as the biggest show promoter in the Vietnamese community in America. I deeply appreciate you up to this point."

The singer said he knew that publicly sharing the story "wouldn't be nice if we had to expose this to everyone," but he said it was the last resort when all private attempts at communication had failed.

Dinh Phuoc shared that he has known and worked with Lien Pham since 2017. He emphasized that throughout their collaboration, he has always maintained a respectful and professional attitude.

According to Dinh Phuoc, in 2022, Lien Pham mentioned needing to transfer $3,500 USD in advance to work with a lawyer. He said that after receiving the full amount, the female show promoter made many promises, even appearing on posters, but then repeatedly broke her promises to the audience.

The male singer said that later, when he had the opportunity to work with the company that handled Lien Pham's visa in Vietnam, they replied that his visa "had no problems." From then on, he understood that she "did nothing for her son." Even so, he chose to remain silent and politely refused to work with her from that point on, not accepting any promises or performance opportunities.

Dinh Phuoc said he had repeatedly asked her to return the money she transferred four years ago, but "she kept making promises and then forgetting, until now." He recounted that he accidentally checked her Facebook messages and discovered he had been blocked from contacting her. This is what prompted him to make his story public.

In the post, Dinh Phuoc asked, "Is $3,500 a lot, ma'am?". He offered two options: if the amount wasn't large, he would calculate interest for four years and repay it; if it was too large, he would only need to receive $3,000 back to "end everything." He also wrote that if she "didn't want to lose a single penny," he would "help her with media coverage so everyone would know about her reputation."

Previously, the male singer said he had given the female promoter a chance to contact him to resolve the issue. He said he messaged her on the 29th of Tet (Lunar New Year) and was given an appointment for February 27th. However, when he asked for a specific time and place, he was blocked again. "I guess you think blocking me means there's no photographic evidence of our transaction, huh?" Dinh Phuoc wrote.

The singer maintained the respectful form of address "son - aunt" throughout the post, showing that he remained polite despite his frustration. He also emphasized: "This is how you should behave, a woman old enough to be my grandmother, and yet I always treat her with respect."

Notably, the story of Lien Pham's debts had previously been mentioned by Nguyen Phuong Hang in her livestreams. At that time, the businesswoman only hinted at it and did not provide many specific details. However, the majority of the public was skeptical, believing that Ms. Hang was in conflict with Dam Vinh Hung and was therefore spreading unfavorable information about the singer's relatives. Dinh Phuoc's public disclosure of the story this time has led the public to connect it to the old statement and raise many more questions.
