She went to the beauty pageant at the age of 16, recalling that day, Van Dung shared: "I mainly support my sister's spirit, not to achieve anything. The older sister is 1m72 tall, entering the top 10. I am 1m61 tall, in the top 15.

I was not surprised with this result because when performing swimsuits, long dresses, walking and speaking, I am a child trained in an artistic environment, so I am also quite proficient. In the old days there was no modeling movement, everyone was amateur and a bit dumb."

Therefore, when mentioning that she participated in the Miss pageant "despite her appearance", Van Dung admitted that she felt embarrassed: "Every time I mention that I have competed in Miss Pageant, I feel embarrassed.

I was short-legged, ugly, unskilled, without good clothes and dared to take the exam. As a result, my sister made the top 15 and I stopped at the top 'what'.

But luckily I wasn't 1.75m tall back then, otherwise I wouldn't have become a comedian."
