Her hair was shaggy, her shirt was loose, and her glasses were round. Tung was like a mischievous boy coming out of an old story. The boy sat down by the woods, plucked the guitar and told him the little things around him. That is also the characteristic feature that the audience remembers the most every time they remember him.

Tung, whose real name is Nguyen Bao Tung, was born in 1994, he is a talented young male singer-songwriter of Vietnam. Bao Tung is known as an Indie artist with a rustic, simple and authentic music style. Originally an architect, but passionate about music. Tung tinkered with music theory on his own and started composing when he was in middle school. His music is not confined to any framework. It is a harmonious combination of many genres such as indie, pop, folk.

Studying architecture, but Tung fell in love with music and tinkered with music theory on his own. From the middle school days, Tung began to try his hand at rap writing and hip hop. However, find yourself an introvert. He decided to choose a softer and more humble musical path. Perhaps this is what makes Tung's music true, gentle, not fussy but full of conquest thanks to its closeness and natural emotions.

In the world of indie artists (independent artists) such as the Wild Salmon group, the Sweet group, Trang, Thai Vu, Tung is a brand new face. As soon as they greeted the stadium with "Xa" (Waiting for the windy season), people saw Tung strangely. Strange from the quality of the music and the quality of the voice. But it is very vague, it is not possible to call that strange thing a name. It wasn't until Tung released his debut album "26: Individualism" at the end of 2020 that people could define what that strangeness was. The album consists of 10 songs in the Acoustic pop and Alternative genres: "The Closet", "The Cricket Sings in the Summer", "Here Now", "Purple at the Edge of the World", "A sad song", "The Bird on the Branch Sings About Love", "Gummy Bear".

Tung's music is as simple and honest as his stage name. Sometimes it's so simple and honest that it's funny. It's just the boy sitting in the cupboard, it's just the fist of two drunks sleeping soundly on the floor, it's just the astronaut on the moon, that's it, it's also a song. But when the moment of smiling passes, the music is full, it is also the time when people are confused when facing what they have been, what they have lost, forgotten, hurt, cried. It is a kind of music that does not make a pose, full of modesty and simplicity, but makes listeners silently reflect and contemplate. As an architect, the perspective in Tung's music is also mischievous and full of cinematic.

And the brush marks clearly visible on the canvas were no different from his own rustic and intimate voice. Tung's voice was so deep that one could hear every breath, every vibration of the larynx, every sigh, and pause.

Recently, Tung had an exchange and music performance with the audience at Song Talks. The event will take place at a "secret" venue in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City on March 30, where only guitars, music and sincere feelings are exchanged. At the same time, Tung also revealed that he will soon release a new studio album after nearly 2 years since the album "Summer March."

Sharing at Song Talks, Tung said. "Recently, I have been working in the studio a lot, also to prepare for the upcoming album. But I was so tired, I suddenly wanted to meet, ask and sing to everyone in a close, easy-to-talk space."

Not only that, Tung also tried his hand in the field of cinema with the movie "B4S - Before 'love'". The film is about the perspective of young people on issues of love and sexuality. The diversity in Tung's art shows his relentless creativity and enthusiasm in bringing true and meaningful artistic values.
