For the past 11 years, Tom Cruise has reportedly not seen his daughter. He has been absent from all of her important milestones. Although he has not been directly accompanying his daughter on her new journey, Tom Cruise is the one who pays for her school fees.

Suri Cruise is currently a freshman at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), a private school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (USA). The 18-year-old female student moved into the dormitory on August 18 with the help of her mother, Katie Holmes. According to the school's website, classes begin on August 26.

To get into the 22nd best school in the US, in addition to being accepted, students must pay an expensive tuition fee of 65,000 USD/year. However, Suri and her mother do not have to worry about this issue, because Tom Cruise is the one responsible for paying.

According to Daily Mail on August 23, a friend of Tom Cruise said that the actor always paid for Suri's school fees even though the father and daughter had not seen each other for more than 10 years. A friend of the Top Gun star told Dailymail: "Tom is actually paying for Suri's school fees. He has always paid for his daughter's school fees and will never stop because he is a man of integrity. Tom has never hesitated to pay child support and expenses. He has not broken his word and is still fulfilling his obligations."

In his 2012 divorce settlement with Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise pledged to be responsible for all of Suri's expenses, including "medical, dental, insurance, education, college and other extracurricular expenses." The newspaper reported that Tom Cruise would no longer have to pay his ex-wife $38,000 in child support because Suri is now 18.

The Gen Z girl reportedly lives in Scobell House, which houses a maximum of 88 students and is all female. Rooms can be single, double or triple occupancy, depending on needs and price.

Most dorm rooms have single beds with storage space underneath, a five-tier chest of drawers, a desk with three drawers, and a chair. In addition, the common areas have many amenities such as a TV room, study room, recreation area, laundry service, and kitchen.

Actress Katie Holmes recently revealed in Town & Country magazine that her daughter plans to pursue fashion and acting after graduating from college. These are also the two fields Katie loves the most since entering showbiz.
