According to Business Insider, in 2022, Leanage earned nearly CAD 258,000, equivalent to nearly $195,000 from brand partnerships.

After gaining 22,000 subscribers on YouTube in 2016, her channel has yet to see any major growth. In 2019, after being recommended by her colleagues, she decided to post her first video on TikTok and received 650,000 views.

Leanage shared: "That's when I realized the platform's video reach was horrible. I've decided to post videos daily to see where this goes."

After focusing on investing in the platform, in just a few months, Leanage gained dozens of followers and brands started contacting her for collaborations.

She shared that initially, she agreed to all the terms and conditions brands offered to include content in the video. "I really didn't know how to negotiate with them at the time. It was much harder then than it is now when I had certain interactions," Leanage said.

Currently, Leanage says that she charges a minimum of $6,000 for a TikTok post but this will depend on the product, the time it takes to create the video, and other factors. She also often talks with other content creators to know if the price she offers is suitable for the market or not. She said that if content creators are not transparent with each other about this, the beneficiaries will be brands.
