Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attends V Fest, VTV affirms its position after 55 years

On the evening of September 20, the V Fest - Vietnam Today music festival organized by VTV at the National Exhibition Center took place grandly, with the participation and direction of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Vietnam Television (VTV) left a special mark with a series of large-scale art programs, typically the V Fest – Vietnam Today event. The program not only brought unique cultural and entertainment experiences to domestic audiences, but also contributed to promoting the image of a modern, rich-in-identity Vietnam to international friends.

Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated VTV’s efforts in organizing music festivals to serve the people. According to the Prime Minister, this is a clear demonstration of the dedication, creativity and social responsibility of the television crew.

The Head of Government emphasized that the Party, State and Government always pay attention to cultural development. To concretize the correct policy on creative culture, the Government has issued target programs on the development of culture, cultural industry and entertainment industry.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the artistic activities taking place during the recent festival were not only entertaining, but also contained profound meanings about the nation, intelligence and pride of the Vietnamese people. This was an opportunity to "internationalize" a culture imbued with national identity, while absorbing the quintessence of human civilization to enrich the artistic life in the country.

He emphasized that the highest goal is for artists to have a creative environment, to be able to devote themselves, to bring value to the public and serve the common interests of the nation and people.

This year also marks the 55th anniversary of VTV's first television program. In that development journey, an important milestone is the birth of the foreign television channel Vietnam Today, contributing to bringing the image, culture and people of Vietnam to the world. The Prime Minister sent his congratulations and hoped that VTV would continue to play a pioneering role in spreading Vietnamese cultural values in the international arena.

The highlight of the event series is V Fest – Vietnam Today, held on a stage with a capacity of 22,000 spectators, inspired by the image of a youthful, dynamic city. A series of famous artists have come together to create unique performances, with new songs, many combinations appearing for the first time.

In particular, modern performance technology and state-of-the-art equipment systems are applied, bringing a spectacular visual and audio experience, turning the event into a true artistic "feast".

Not only stopping at the entertainment aspect, V Fest – Vietnam Today is also associated with profound human values. The program accompanies the charity project "Library of Joy", bringing access to knowledge to tens of thousands of students in difficult circumstances across the country.

Previously, the project received more than 4 billion VND in donations and more than 20,000 books from the community with the support of artists through the programs V Concert - Radiant Vietnam and V Fest - Radiant Youth. This is a clear demonstration of the spreading power of art, when music and culture not only arouse emotions but also contribute to creating positive social values.
