Nguyen Thi Tuong Thao, nicknamed "Thao Mola" on TikTok, is a young person who has successfully combined agricultural products and digital technology, strongly inspiring young people to dare to pursue their passion and change their lives.

Graduated with two university degrees, Thao used to work in a laboratory in Ho Chi Minh City with a high salary. Instead of continuing her stable job, she decided to return to her hometown, working at the Vuon Nha Da Lat Cooperative with an initial salary of only 3 million VND a month. Thao wanted to contribute to her hometown, help local farmers and find a new direction for herself.

When she started at the cooperative, Thao realized that the agricultural business model here was too traditional, mainly selling through markets and relationships. Sensing the great potential of connecting agricultural products with technology, Thao boldly proposed the idea of bringing agricultural products to TikTok for widespread promotion. However, because the idea did not receive consensus from the leadership, the 9X girl created a TikTok channel herself to start her online sales journey.

Not long after, Thao’s videos introducing agricultural products quickly attracted attention. She started livestreaming to sell products, and in just the first time, she closed nearly 1,000 orders within 15 minutes.

Thao's business model has grown strongly, with revenue reaching 1.2 billion VND in June 2023 thanks to livestreams. Her TikTok channel has quickly attracted nearly 300,000 followers and 2.5 million likes, mainly middle-aged customers who are interested in consuming safe agricultural products.

With her help, the Dalat Garden Cooperative has an annual revenue of 2 billion VND, and supports dozens of local workers. Thao said that one of her greatest joys is when she sells her products at high prices, farmers also benefit, helping them improve their lives.

However, Thao’s entrepreneurial journey has not always been smooth. She once faced failure when a shipment of 3 tons of chili was damaged due to lack of transportation experience. On the contrary, after each difficulty, she always learned her lesson and found a way to overcome it. Her livestreams have become more and more professional, with careful preparation of output and transportation methods. Thao always puts product quality first, because only when customers are satisfied.

Not only stopping at helping farmers in her hometown, Thao also spreads her online sales experience to farmers in other provinces such as Tra Vinh. She shared that helping people connect with technology and livestream sales is part of her mission.
