Tan Hy Khanh: Youth music phenomenon in America, close to Duc Tien

Tan Hy Khanh is an overseas male singer with a deep, powerful voice and attractive performance style. The male singer started his artistic path by participating in a talent search contest organized by Trizzie Phuong Trinh.

At noon on May 29 (US time), family and colleagues held a funeral for the late model and actor Duc Tien at Lambertian Ministry Center, Garden Grove, USA. After the funeral and burial ceremony, a large number of writers, artists, relatives, and audiences came to visit Duc Tien.

Besides writers and artists such as Nhat Cuong, Thanh Thao, Trizzie Phuong Trinh, Nguyen Hong Nhung, Hoai Tam... overseas singer Tan Hy Khanh was also present to offer condolences to his close senior.

Overseas singer Tan Hy Khanh said she has had many occasions to perform with actors in community shows in California. In his eyes, Duc Tien is an artist who is always sociable and friendly with everyone. "I am grateful to him for always giving me a lot of advice in my career and guiding me in my first days coming to America," Tan Hy Khanh said.

Singer Tan Hy Khanh was born on July 29, 1984 in Ho Chi Minh City. Tan Hy Khanh, a male singer, possesses a deep, powerful voice, an attractive performance style and good dancing skills. Tan Hy Khanh became a musical phenomenon among young people in America with gentle ballads and vibrant dance songs.

Tan Hy Khanh was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City. Since childhood, Tan Hy Khanh has had a strong passion for music. He participated in many singing competitions from an early age.

In 2006, Tan Hy Khanh's music group won first prize in the contest "Cicada Song Group Festival" at Dam Sen Water Park. Tan Hy Khanh also left a deep impression in the hearts of music lovers with major music competitions such as Vietnam Idol, Voice of Television...

In 2010, Tan Hy Khanh temporarily stopped his music career and went to study abroad in the US. With the help of overseas artists, Tan Hy Khanh gradually has a place in the hearts of overseas audiences.

In 2015, Tan Hy Khanh graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications in the US. He won the impressive contestant award in the "Let's Sing 2015" contest in Orange County (California). Also in 2015, Tan Hy Khanh accepted the invitation to participate in the "Miss and Mister Vietnamese World" contest and excellently won the "Male Talented Singing" award. Tan Hy Khanh is considered a generation of young people who represent the Vietnamese community in America.

At the end of December 2016, Tan Hy Khanh was invited to perform with many big names such as singer Dam Vinh Hung, Diva Ha Tran, Thu Phuong, Ha Anh Tuan... in the final night of "Miss Vietnamese Women". World 2016" at The Venetian Theater of The Venetian Resorts & Casino (Las Vegas).

In addition to being a singer, Tan Hy Khanh is also the manager of cosmetic chains Shiseido, Cle de peau, Ohui... and Marketing for the Korean red ginseng company.

Tan Hy Khanh is a close friend of supermodel Ngoc Quyen. During the graduation ceremony, Ngoc Quyen brought her son to congratulate Tan Hy Khanh. He and model Ngoc Quyen have known each other since the early days when Ngoc Quyen first came to America. He helped Ngoc Quyen a lot to integrate into life here.

After more than a decade of settling in the US, Tan Hy Khanh has owned a respectable property. Appearing on a show 2 years ago, Thuy Nga was quite surprised when she visited her house and saw singer Tan Hy Khanh herself digging the ground and shoveling sand to build a house. She exclaimed:

"Oh my God, I can't believe that in America there are singers who sing, do business, and work as a construction assistant. I know that in addition to singing, Tan Hy Khanh is also a very successful businessman. This house is a second apartment. How long is it?".

Tan Hy Khanh shyly replied: " This is only my second house in America. Previously I lived in another house and just bought this new house. I bought this house, demolished it and rebuilt it entirely according to I'm renovating the land in front of my house to make a garden for rest and relaxation.

Even though I'm a singer, I have a lot of work. In the morning I sell cosmetics, in the evening I work on land to build a house, on weekends I sell tea, and in my free time I run shows to earn extra money. Thanks to that, I have money to buy a new house. Artists in America have to trade and do many jobs to make a living.

I am quite familiar with the artist community here in Cali, no one is a stranger to me. However, only now did Thuy Nga know about me buying a new house and come visit ."

Thuy Nga also shared: " The audience in Vietnam rarely knows about Tan Hy Khanh, but in California everyone knows because Tan Hy Khanh is a very active, young, talented young man who can do many jobs, especially especially selling expensive cosmetics.

Tan Hy Khanh has competed in many competitions abroad, including Trizzie Phuong Trinh's competition held in 2015 and won third prize.

Hearing that, Tan Hy Khanh immediately added: " I have been in the US for 12 years. While in Vietnam, I worked in the Vut Bay group with Tieu Chau Nhu Quynh and Bach Cong Khanh. I also worked and had a bit of fame.

However, my family did not support me pursuing a musical path. My father is a disabled swimming coach so he doesn't like me singing. When I was a child, I also trained to be a swimming coach.

But because I didn't like that profession, I secretly went to sing and do cultural activities. My parents were determined not to let me study abroad in America. I was pushed to study abroad in the US and do all kinds of jobs to make a living."
