New Miss Ocean 2023 revealed: Graduated from University with honors, received a total prize of VND 5 billion

The final of Miss Ocean 2023 took place on the morning of August 25 in Ho Tram. Through the rounds of prom, bathing suits and behavior, contestant Tran Thi Thu Uyen excellently crowned and received a total prize worth VND 5 billion.

Accordingly, the top 30 contestants in turn went through the rounds: Shouting names, evening dresses, bathing suits and behaviors related to the protection of the marine environment.

After going through the rounds, the top 5 finalists were officially revealed: Tran Thi Thu Uyen, Thai Dao Truc Giang, Vo Thi Tuyet Nhi, Vu Duong Quynh Nhu, Lam Kieu Anh.

In the end, the organizers decided to award the prize to one miss and four runners-up. One of the top 5 faces will be selected to participate in the international pageant, not default to miss like many other pageants.

The jury of the contest includes: businessman Duong Thu Huong (Head of Department), former model Elizabeth Thuy Tien, Miss Le Au Ngan Anh, runner-up Dang Thanh Ngan, supermodel Lan Khue ...

The 4th runner-up went to Thai Dao Truc Giang, 3rd runner-up Vo Thi Tuyet Nhi, 2nd runner-up Vu Duong Quynh Nhu and 1st runner-up Lam Kieu Anh.

And finally, the title of Miss Ocean Vietnam 2023 calls Tran Thi Thu Uyen (Soc Trang) born in 2000, 1m74 tall. She graduated with honors in Tourism and Travel Service Management from Can Tho Southern University.

The new Miss was praised by the audience for her beauty and education. Before that, she was predicted to be able to win high because of her good physique, appearance and knowledge.

In the conduct contest, receiving the question: "Can you tell us about a certain moment in your life that makes you feel the most remembered and touched?", the beauty Tran Thi Thu Uyen answered: "I firmly believe that in our lives everyone has a dream, a desire to achieve what they want. I still remember the complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic, I was able to participate in environmental protection activities, helping disadvantaged children.

At the end of 2019, I participated in charity activities and I met an orphan with ambition and desire but suffering from lung cancer. I think environmental pollution is one of the causes of cancer. Therefore, I feel that we need to take practical and conscious actions to join hands to protect the environment. I also hope that if I can become Miss Ocean Vietnam 2023 this morning, I will spread the message of environmental protection, join hands to help difficult circumstances."

At the final of Miss Ocean 2023, in addition to being judged deserved, the pageant still encountered some noise in the organization. Accordingly, in the announcement of the final top 15, the MC misread the list of the top 15 talented contestants.

Discovering his mistake, the male MC "fought the fire" by sharing: "Ladies and gentlemen, we have a small mistake in naming the past 14 contestants. These are 14 names in the talent section of Miss Ocean - one of the parts that left the most impression on the audience. Of these 14 names, there are two left, and then we will announce the top 15." Not stopping there, some contestants had problems when performing evening dresses and swimsuits.

Miss Ocean 2023 returns after a 6-year pause. The competition selects contestants aged 18-30, with a height of 1.6 m or more. In 2017, Le Au Ngan Anh was crowned Miss.
