Tam Doan, born in 1977, is a Vietnamese-Canadian overseas singer. Since childhood, Tam Doan has been active in the arts and has had many recorded songs broadcast on the provincial radio.

In 1989, Tam Doan and her mother left Vietnam to live in Canada. At the end of 1997, Tam Doan began her artistic activities overseas and became known for many songs such as: Mua thu co nho, Dem gốm sầu roi, Anh co nghe mua roi...

Tam Doan married singer Tien Dung in 2006 in Canada. After getting married, she and her husband moved to the US to develop their careers. They have two lovely daughters together. Tam Doan once shared that life in Canada and the US has many differences.

"In Canada, people seem to be more friendly, more ordinary, and more content. They don't have to work hard all day to earn a living. In America, it seems like you can't be lazy or slow down, otherwise you'll be left behind. When I was young in Canada, before I entered showbiz, life was much more peaceful. In My Tam Doan, I had to run shows and take care of my children, so I was very busy," the singer said.

Currently, Tam Doan is living a happy life with her husband and two little princesses. In addition to singing, Tam Doan is also the host of a talk show named after her and owns a cosmetics company. She often shares moments with her husband and children on social networks.

Sharing about her husband, Tam Doan once revealed that her husband is not jealous at all. She said: "He is also a singer, but when we got married, we committed to loving our chil.d and not wanting him to grow up in a family without a father and mother, so he sacrificed his passion and focused on being an architect, so that there would be no night when the chil.d would be without both a father and a mother, so that Tam Doan could go to shows with peace of mind and continue her passion."

Still pursuing her career in the US, Tam Doan once shared that if she received an invitation to be a judge in Vietnam, she would accept immediately.

Deeply in love with Hoai Linh for 30 years

Recently, backstage at Hoai Linh's show, artists shared memories of the male comedian. Among them, singer Tam Doan confided: "Anh Linh, it's been 30 years. I'm very happy for you and extremely proud of you."

The overseas singer said: "You know, Tam Doan knew Linh from Van Son's center as everyone already knows. But there is one thing that everyone doesn't know, the first days I went to record tapes in Cali when I first started my career, I stayed at Linh's house. At night, Linh went to shows or went somewhere else, not the same program, but after I finished recording at Van Son's house, Linh stopped by, 'picked' me up in his car, and took me to his house to sleep.

At that time, I came from Canada, flew back and forth and stayed at Linh's house. On the bus, Linh gave me a lot of advice. I listened to what he said but didn't dare to say it back, because he was my idol a few years ago, when he first became famous, I was still very young. I went to see him perform with Van Son.

The female singer revealed to her senior: "You never knew this. At that time, I secretl.y loved you. I saw that you were so handsome and had such charm in your acting. The way you acted was very Western, very American, even though you acted and spoke Vietnamese sentences. I was idolizing you on stage, when you performed at a club in Canada, you suddenly appeared next to me, you asked me 'Do you want to dance?' You probably don't remember because maybe that night you asked many girls, not just me, but I still remember. At that time, I was frozen, I said no. Then you just smiled, you walked around interacting with everyone.

A few years later, I joined Van Son's center, but when I met you, I was so stiff that I didn't dare tell this story. Today is the 30th anniversary, a journey in which you treated not only me but everyone very sincerely. The singer also thanked Hoai Linh for teaching her many things. She revealed: "Thanks to him showing me the first steps in the ao dai, I am now as gentle as I am today. Back then, Tam Doan was very boyish. I was clumsy when I put on the ao dai and clogs. Linh only showed me once. He told me how my shoulders should be when I walk, and how I should go down the stairs slowly and gracefully, not clumsily."
