On her personal page on the afternoon of September 8, Siu Black announced that she and her ex-husband - Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung, former volleyball player of Dak Lak province - had married after 5 years of reunion.

"Today is Siu Black's special day. Thank you to your loved ones, family, friends, colleagues for always being by Siu's side," the singer wrote.

Singer Siu Black said she and her husband Duc Hung had just held a Catholic wedding ceremony at the church on the morning of September 8. However, the singer only officiated, planning to have a party in 2024 because she had just experienced the pain of losing a loved one.

Previously, the two had finished preparing for religious rites, but because singer Siu Black's biological sister died last month, wedding plans were postponed to September 8. After holding a wedding ceremony in her hometown, the singer returned to Saigon to attend Vietnam Idol as a special guest in Liveshow 1 which took place on the evening of September 9.

The Highland Flame vocalist since 5 a.m. on Sept. 8, she and her husband went to church for their wedding. The ceremony took place simply in the presence of family, siblings, descendants, neighbors ... In front of the vicar, Siu Black and her husband exchanged vows, performed blessings and exchanged wedding rings. Later, the singer made a light party within the family confines.

During the wedding ceremony, Siu Black and her husband wore traditional Ba Na costumes. The singer considered herself to be old, not wanting matches. Siu Black said: "I like things to be simple, whatever it is like before God. I've worn a wedding dress once, I've become a grandmother, I don't want to be gorgeous anymore. I find it nicer to wear traditional clothes. Not only my wife and I but also relatives and friends also wear brocade costumes, I feel very beautiful."

After returning to live together, the singer persuaded her husband to become Catholic. The two met in 1987, after 3 years, married and had 2 children together.

Siu Black said her middle-aged husband is often sick, so she and her husband choose to work in good health despite the economic pressure. In 2019, Siu Black took out a bank loan to build her own house because her children were all married and did not want to continue living at her sister's house. The singer was troubled because the accumulated money was not enough and did not borrow much. Thanks to her ex-husband, Siu Black was approved by the bank to borrow an additional VND 350 million.
