Santa became a familiar face to Chinese audiences after participating in "Produce Camp 2021". This guy not only has great visuals but is also extremely talented, having won the world dance championship.
Santa's real name is Uno Zando, born on March 11, 1998 in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. He is known as a dancer and singer who graduated from the Department of Physical Education at Shigakukan University and is a former member of the band INTO1.
It is known that Santa started learning to dance when he was only 3 years old, and decided to pursue street dance during his elementary school years. Since then, the young man has also started participating in street dance competitions of different genres. Not only in Japan, he also has a lot of competition experience around the world.
In 2012, at the age of 14, Santa won the championship in the DANCE @ KIDS SEASON7 JAPAN FINAL dance competition held in Tokyo, Japan. What is special is that he also became the first male champion of this competition.
In 2015, 17-year-old Santa won the House category championship at the Street Dance KEMP Europe (SDK) world street dance competition held in the Czech Republic, breaking the record for the youngest champion of the competition.
Before becoming the champion of SDK Europe, this young man was the champion of the Street Dance KEMP Asia competition - the Asian qualifying round of SDK held in Hong Kong. After that, he and his teammates from the Alaventa dance group went to Hong Kong to organize dance workshops.
In 2016, at the Cercle Underground street dance competition held in Paris, Santa and his teammates continued to win the House 3On3 category. In the same year, he won the House category runner-up prize at the Street Dance KEMP Europe street dance competition. At the same time, he took on the role of guest lecturer for outdoor workshops, organized within the framework of Street Dance KEMP activities.
In November, Santa won the freestyle category championship in the street dance competition The Queens of Disco vol.4 held in China. He then participated in a variety show on Nagoya TV as a guest dancer.
In 2017, the 9x dancer participated in Summer Dance Forever (SDF) - one of the world's largest and most prestigious street dance competitions held every August in Amsterdam, Netherlands and entered the TOP 6 strongest dancers in the House category, after defeating two greats Candyman and Alesya - the champion of SDF 2015.
In 2019, Santa signed a contract with Avex Warps - a subsidiary of Avex - one of the largest and most prestigious entertainment companies in Japan and became their artist. After completing his training here, at the end of the year, he debuted as a member of the group WARPs UP with 4 other members, with their first single called "Rock Tonight".
In 2020, Santa and the group WARPs UP released many songs and MVs that were well received by the audience. In February 2021, as a trainee of the entertainment company Avex Warps, he participated in the Chinese boy band selection TV show "Produce Camp" on Tencent Video channel.
From the very first round, Santa was the only trainee to receive 100% of the on-site votes. During the performance to be placed in a class, he was paired with Rikimaru for a dance. Their captivating dance performance made the entire studio explode, thus winning the position of Class A.
When it came to the battle dance, Santa improvised with Liu Yu, creating a well-coordinated performance that seemed to have been prepared in advance. This demonstrated the couple's keen sense of rhythm and top-notch dancing techniques.
After more than 2 months of competition, on April 24, 2021, with the final 2nd place result, Santa officially debuted in China as a member of the project group INTO1. Notably, the name that won the highest position was none other than the person who danced the battle with him - "ancient costume handsome man" Liu Yu.
Surprisingly, it was not until people reviewed Santa's contest entry that they realized he was the nephew of the famous star Oguri Shun. The actor is extremely famous not only in Japan but also throughout Asia, with his handsome appearance and diverse acting.
Oguri Shun's successful works include: Hana Yori Dango (Japanese version of Meteor Garden), Hana Kimi, Gintama... It is known that other family members are also active in the arts when Oguri Shun's older brother, Oguri Ryo, is also an actor, and his father, Oguri Tetsuya, is a theater director.
Until recently, Santa once again caused a stir when he appeared at " Super Novae Games 2024". The dance performance he choreographed helped the white team win overwhelmingly in the Crew Battle. Notably, Chi Pu was also on this team.
In the final round, Santa, Chi Pu and Gen1es_RUAN, although not in first place, still had highly appreciated performances. Unfortunately, this category only had Gold Medals for the winning team, no Silver Medals.
Many people commented that when teaming up with the World Street Dance Champion Uno Santa, Chi Pu was not overwhelmed or "out of breath". She was even praised for her solid dancing ability, explosive performance and full of energy.
Previously, Chi Pu also had an impressive performance in the archery final of the Super Novae Games 2024. Although she had only been exposed to this sport a month before the competition, the female singer still surpassed many candidates from China and other countries, excellently bringing home the Silver Medal. She was only 5 points behind the Gold Medal winner, actress Ton Gia Lo.
Chi Pu encountered an incident in China, a TikToker posted a clip of her gloating, and was criticized by netizens. Is it true? Tuyết Ngọc07:08:13 18/10/2024The online community is still angry at this female TikToker's act of laughing at other people's pain. Despite Chi Pu speaking up to clarify the issue, many people still do not want to forgive her.
