Rich Anh Tuan: Xuan Mai's "little" younger brother, quit singing to go to America to sell pho, and become a university teaching assistant.

Xuan Mai was born into a family with an artistic tradition, her father is singer Tuan Canh and her mother is guitarist Thu Thu. When Xuan Mai achieved an unexpected enthusiastic response from the audience, his parents also wanted Rich Anh Tuan to pursue a musical career. At first, his parents did not want their son to be confused, so they often let Anh Tuan follow Xuan Mai to perform and film. While Xuan Mai chose to travel back and forth between Vietnam and the US to pursue her artistic activities and develop her career, Anh Tuan focused on studying, supporting his family and almost lost interest in singing.

Although his parents are far apart, Rich Anh Tuan still maintains a good relationship with his family members. He often contacts them even though he does not live near them. In the eyes of his relatives, the 9X is gentle and quiet. Although he moved to America when he was young, he still maintains the culture and lifestyle "like a Vietnamese boy".

In a foreign country, Rich Anh Tuan's family opened a pho restaurant, so serving and selling goods to help adults every day is something he is very familiar with. Not only that, Xuan Mai's younger brother also works hard at mobile phone stores and sells groceries to earn his own pocket money.

No longer a chubby boy in the past, Rich Anh Tuan after puberty has become much more mature and steady, with a masculine face but still retains the familiar "dimpled smile". Stopping his artistic dream, Rich Anh Tuan focused on studying and set a goal of becoming a university professor in the US. After many years, this young man has achieved admirable results. In 2019, Rich Anh Tuan posted a photo of his university graduation in the US.

Recently, Rich Anh Tuan said he is about to complete his graduate training program in the US and plans to do a PhD in Animal Science at the University of California, USA next September.

Xuan Mai's younger brother revealed that he spends most of his time in the lab at UC Davis Medical Center, researching subjects and methods to reduce greenhouse gases to combat climate change. In addition, Anh Tuan also maintains his job as a university teaching assistant. "After receiving my doctorate, I plan to become a university professor. I have long dreamed of having the opportunity to guide students to success," according to the 9X.

At 27, Anh Tuan lives alone in Los Angeles, California. He is financially independent, and has received scholarships and research grants since his college days.

The 1997-born man said he doesn’t have much time to date or hang out with friends. He is single and not ready to start a relationship. During big summer or winter vacations, he takes the opportunity to go back to Ohio to visit his mother and sister - singer Xuan Mai, then takes his grandchildren to Orange County, California to visit his grandfather and relatives.

On normal days, when he has free time, Rich Anh Tuan chooses to eat out or wander around to explore the surrounding areas. Once a child singer, music is now just a pure hobby for Anh Tuan. He often sings karaoke with friends and relatives for fun but has no intention of getting involved in artistic activities.
