Previously, social networks were abuzz with news that her team had campaigned for nearly 30 billion votes to win a place in the top 10 but failed because she only came in 3rd place.

The final night of Miss Grand International 2024 ended with the victory of the representative of India. The runner-up positions respectively belonged to: representative of the Philippines - 1st runner-up, representative of France - 3rd runner-up, representative of Brazil - 4th runner-up. The beauty of Myanmar won the title of 2nd runner-up but demanded to give up the crown.

Specifically, at noon on October 27, Mr. Nawat announced that he would not appoint a replacement for the 17-year-old beauty, but she responded that she did not need the title of second runner-up.

Thae Su Nyein was crowned Miss Grand Myanmar at a very young age, becoming the youngest contestant this season. Thae Su Nyein is not the first runner-up to be stripped of her crown by Mr. Nawat. In the 2022 season, Miss Grand International officially issued a press release about stripping the crown of 5th runner-up Yuvna Rinishta - from Mauritius: "Yuvna Rinishta cannot use the title of Miss Grand International Runner-up from now on. Information about Rinishta's replacement will be announced by us as soon as possible."

In addition to Que Anh and Thae Su Nyein, Miss MGI 2023 runner-up from Myanmar Ni Ni Lin Eain also fell into a pitiful situation when she publicly revealed that the national director forced her to sleep with a sponsor right after winning the runner-up title.

Currently, Ni Ni is said to have left Myanmar and applied for Vietnamese citizenship.
