Recently on her personal page, Phuong My Chi posted a long status line with the content that her family was infected with COVID-19. Accordingly, the signs began on August 13 and officially confirmed COVID-19 infection 2 days later and shared the reason for the high probability due to going to the supermarket to buy essentials.

The text of Phuong My Chi's sharing on her personal page is as follows:

"I originally promised to livestream to sing for everyone on August 13, but on that very day I started showing symptoms of Covid infection and my mother too. On August 15, I and Mom tested it quickly and found it positive. I didn't. I don't know what the exact reason I was infected, but the most understandable reason is probably because my mother went to the supermarket to buy essentials.

The first 3 days were very difficult for Mother and daughter, the whole family was also a bit confused because they had to prepare necessary medical supplies, rearrange the room and disinfect. The psychology of the whole family cannot avoid panic, especially Ma Chi. She and her father encouraged mother and daughter a lot. Ms. Quyen called the ward's health department, but at that time, because the epidemic situation was also overloaded, they did not accept the PCR test as before, and the family was supported by doctors for online consultation and treatment.

My symptoms are runny nose, sore throat, loss of smell, diarrhea and fever twice. Ma's symptoms are worse, continuous fever, insomnia for 4 days in a row, aches and pains, shortness of breath, diarrhea, cough, sore throat leading to a lot of loss of strength, SpO2 index sometimes only 86.

In the early days, bacteria will stick to the nasal cavity and nasopharynx, I must destroy it immediately, not to enter the lungs (it will be very dangerous and unpredictable). Moreover, I can only drink warm water and drink a lot of water. Steam your nose 2-3 times a day (I can cook lemongrass vs ginger for a few drops of green oil, or simply boiling water and green oil will do).

Although Chi and Ma are tired, they still have to get up and do light stretching exercises and breathing exercises, sometimes when I see her breathing fast, her face is red, lying down, I'm very heartbroken but always encouraging, saying Ma must try hard. Even though she had prepared an oxygen tank at home, Chi always encouraged her not to think about the oxygen tank but to overcome it, make jokes, and talk to her a lot.

On the third day, the isolation room had more "patients", a small family in District 8 had just recorded a new case. If 1 member suffers, the rest of the members, even though they're careful, have to prepare their minds first, it's not that I'm pessimistic but I'm optimistic about accepting everything. And as expected, the family of 5 people in turn tested positive. Ba Chi was the last to get sick, in the previous days was very healthy but suddenly lost her sense of smell and taste and after a quick test, other symptoms also began to appear. It can be said that the heaviest people are Chi's Mom and Dad. The remaining 3 people, including Chi, have mild symptoms.

During these 14 days, the whole family took care of each other, encouraged each other, the lighter people took care of the heavier people. On the 14th day, quick test again, 4 members are negative, and Ba Chi, the 2nd line has faded and is getting better. Currently, the whole family has isolated Ba for further monitoring. After waiting for 21 days, they will report back to the ward health care so that the whole family can be supported to test again and issue an official certificate. Although I really want to do a PCR test to get the most accurate results, but because of the general situation of having to comply with the directives and the general difficulties from the medical side, they cannot support me, so the whole family can only do everything and get through it together."
