Life and career
Meritorious Artist Manh Tuong was born in 1946, in a family of 11 siblings. He loved singing, then followed the troupe to serve the soldiers on all fronts.
However, a stomach hemorrhage prevented him from being healthy enough to serve the soldiers. At that time, Manh Tuong was returned to his local area.
Thanks to his beautiful voice and singing talent, Manh Tuong joined Vietnam Television to work in 1973. At that time, the broadcasting profession was still quite new.

Meritorious Artist Minh Tri's full name is Nguyen Minh Tri, born in 1945. Before coming to the broadcasting profession, he experienced many other jobs such as a watchman, a teacher, and auditioned for movie actors. In 1971, he took the exam to become a broadcaster for Vietnam Television.

In the 1980s-1990s, Meritorious Artist Kim Tien and Meritorious Artist Minh Tri were considered a pair of "heavenly born" broadcasters, two of the "legendary voices" on VTV. Two Meritorious Artists have made VTV's News bulletin closer to television audiences.
Meritorious Artist Minh Tri also narrated many television films broadcast on VTV, including the legendary film Journey to the West.
He retired in 2005. Some time later, he had a serious stroke that caused his health to decline. He passed away on March 31, 2022 due to old age and weak health, at the age of 77.
