Hanh Thuy confided: "Every meal I pass by and see my friends sitting in a slurping restaurant, but I don't dare to look directly nor can I ever imagine the taste of a bowl of vermicelli, a bowl of noodles, a bowl of porridge for fear of cravings. Remember that a few friends broke a loaf of bread with only salt and pepper and cucumber and it was delicious. For lunch and dinner, it must be rice tofu braised with radish for 3,500 VND/plate. , why don't you eat braised meat, the price is 5,000 VND / plate, I say I'm bored with meat, I don't really regret 1,500 VND".

She even "sneakly" brought a plate of rice to share with friends, sometimes eating a plate twice in the morning and afternoon to save money. Around her, there are similar friends, even more frugal. Hanh Thuy said that at that time "hungry and lack of food were delicious".

The secret marriage has many ups and downs

Talking about the fateful meeting with her husband, Hanh Thuy wittily recalled: "Our story was very funny. Back then, we knew each other, thinking that you wouldn't think of love at all. Not alone for 15 years with her children fighting illness, Hanh Thuy was always accompanied by her husband and his words of encouragement helped her not to surrender to her cruel fate. Always hoping and not giving up, in the end, Hanh Thuy and her husband changed their fate and regained their children's hearing with hearing aids. The moment her daughter heard the first sounds in her life was also the time when Hanh Thuy's mother's heart burst with happiness.
